Just thought I’d ask to cheer us up and reminds ourselves that amongst all this doom and gloom there’s still happiness to be had in the simple things of life.

I’ll start. Went for a lovely long walk with my beautiful dog.. We were both so happy, the sun was shining and I put all negative thoughts out of my head and just enjoyed the moment.

Love to hear what made everyone else happy today. Smile

My dog coming when I call her, every time, even when distracted. It’s only been seven days since I brought her home (rescue) and we’re increasingly spending time outdoors off the tracking lead.

Lovely cycle with DD just as it was getting dark, not a soul around. Beautiful.

StayClosePooky · 11/10/2020 21:26

My 4 year old gave me a badge for being the best mam, like, ever Grin

Happycamper78 · 11/10/2020 21:26

Walked through the woods enjoying all of the autumn colours and seeing families enjoying the fresh air

Emma10702 · 11/10/2020 21:27

I’ve eaten lots of delicious cake

TeddyIsaHe · 11/10/2020 21:28

Took Dd out for chips and she said ‘this is so lovely mummy! Thank you’. Usually she’s a horror bag, but was a delight today. Finally!

Also discovered mini cheddars red Leicester flavour and they are everything normal mini cheds should be. Bloody delicious.

Cycled to the beach using a route I figured out with minimal road and hill. DS made a couple of sandcastles, little caring it was about 12 degrees. Cycled back via an adventure playground that we've never been to before a d it was great.

Found a YouTube channel called yoga with Adrienne. Just done the bedtime routine and got my bedtime brew. It's a lovely way to end the day

I was reminded by a podcast that Alice Roosevelt (daughter of President Theodore Roosevelt) smoked cigarettes on the White House roof, and attended poker games carrying a handbag containing a dagger, a copy of the US Constitution and a pet snake named "Emily Spinach."

That always makes me happy for some reason.

Brissiegirl · 11/10/2020 21:32

Went for 80km cycle with my club and managed to stay with the group the whole way for the first time.

BrowncoatWaffles · 11/10/2020 21:34

I did Mary Berry’s slow roast pork recipe and every single member of the family absolutely loved it. First roast of autumn, the recipe came out with perfect crackling and I had lots and lots of parsnips.

earthtopluto · 11/10/2020 21:34

Telling my toddler 'I love you' and giving him a kiss, then him responding with 'ruff ooo' (for the first time) and kissing me back.

Bat3 · 11/10/2020 21:34

Caught up on bake off today with my children. I sat in the middle of the sofa and had one child cuddling either side of me. Was bliss.

shesgonebatshitagain · 11/10/2020 21:35

Lovely walk with my three young children and our beautiful dog.
Fish and chips
Big bubbly bath time
Bedtime stories and cuddles
For once they are all asleep and I get to watch crap tv with the dog and the cats and a big glass of wine.

Jojobar · 11/10/2020 21:41

We had a lovely drive to some very beautiful local countryside, and saw lots of sheep (I love sheep!). Then home for salmon stir fry.

Peccary · 11/10/2020 21:41

Took DD to a farm park, just the sheer delight she gets from feeding and petting animals
