To ask what little thing made you happy today.

Just thought I’d ask to cheer us up and reminds ourselves that amongst all this doom and gloom there’s still happiness to be had in the simple things of life.

I’ll start. Went for a lovely long walk with my beautiful dog.. We were both so happy, the sun was shining and I put all negative thoughts out of my head and just enjoyed the moment.

Love to hear what made everyone else happy today.

A lovely big long beach walk in the sunshine with my daughter and my best friend followed by a late lunch in a fab wee local cafe. Good for the soul!

My daughters age 16 and 14 happy. Really happy young ladies tonight enjoying school and sixth form and everything that comes with it

It was my moms birthday so celebrated it all weekend. Yesterday me and DD baked a cake for her and it was delicious. Today we had left over Chinese food and went to an adventure park with extended family. DD is great company as always and absolutely loveable. Tonight we watched a film. Now I’m curled up in bed. Bliss

Cycling along the seafront and eating hot pasties on the beach.

Got him home from a total knee replacement on Friday. Was dreading being Nurse Ratched. Ha ha.

On day one off he went up and down the stairs. Now I was peppering and very nervous that he would have a fall.

Used to it now. So happy he is ok and moving around five days post op which was done on Tuesday. I hope it stays that way lol.

He will drive me nuts being able to walk quicker than me soon enough!

Seeing my little nephew who has autism and learning difficulties make a friend in the park today, the smiles and laughter from him melted me.

My dog coming when I call her, every time, even when distracted. It’s only been seven days since I brought her home (rescue) and we’re increasingly spending time outdoors off the tracking lead.

He's lovely

Came home from work and was met with excited squeals and my 2 DC (5 and 3) running at full speed to greet me. There's no greater feeling than your presence alone bringing such joy and happiness!

my daughter and son both wanting to hold my hand when we went out for a walk - i forget how quick they are growing up, but moments like those remind me, they still like me and want me around.

This made me happy. They've nearly hit their target on day one.

Worked in my garden in the sunshine and admiring all my autumn colours.

Because the sun was shining I put 2 loads of washing out and it all dried. Now ironed and put away so zero laundry in this house at this very moment.
Watched the last episode of Ghosts and it was as good as I hoped. Then watched the last 2 episodes of Harlots series 2 which was also very good.
I had much deserved Peace and quiet to watch the programmes and have a nice glass or 3 of Gin while doing so.

It's raining where I am. I'm spending the afternoon snuggled up on the sofa with a blanket and book listening to the rain. Such bliss!

Remembering that today is my birthday! A horrifyingly big one too!

Mine is very little! A lovely new organic coffee (I made myself) I drank standing on the balcony in the sun. I'll take the small wins!

This afternoon we took ds to cricket academy for his 2 hour training session. Whilst he is there we had 2 wonderful hours to ourselves at pub. Got some lunch. Collected ds who had batted for 1/2 an hour and did not get out (he usually gets out 2 or 3 times in this time) then he took 3 wickets when bowling. He said the coach told another child to watch him carefully and to try to spin the ball like he did. He was so happy when he was telling us. He has been anxious about starting a new school and we have not seen him smiling so much for a while. It made our day.

Dd1 has got back her passion for learning. She’s taken a keen interest in WWII and written lots of facts and information for her teacher (it wasn’t homework). I’m chuffed as she was like this throughout school until last year in Year 5 her teacher was dreadful. Dd even started to cry not wanting to go to school. She’d been in nursery since a baby and never cried when leaving her 🤔
