To ask what little thing made you happy today.

Just thought I’d ask to cheer us up and reminds ourselves that amongst all this doom and gloom there’s still happiness to be had in the simple things of life.

I’ll start. Went for a lovely long walk with my beautiful dog.. We were both so happy, the sun was shining and I put all negative thoughts out of my head and just enjoyed the moment.

Love to hear what made everyone else happy today.

I had a morning sea swim it was glorious.

Crunching autumn leaves and watching DD(2) pick up pine cones until her pockets could take no more.

My dog and cat in the garden together. Dog used to chase cat, but now they live in harmony.

Nothing really, I've had a shit day, dp has been really difficult and argumentative, but I did try the chicken Bisto powder for the roast dinner and its so much better that granuals.

Watching my 2yo jumping in muddy puddles in the woods. The sheer delight on his face made my heart sing.

My little business got two huge orders today from people who I don't know but have had my items recommended to them who have had my stuff recommended to them.

I have so much awful stuff going on at the moment and I know everyone else does but those orders made me happy.

Reading goodnight moon to my 2 year old dd and her saying “night night moon, night night cow, night night bears, night night chairs” every time I read a page 😭 I love her so much.

Had a lovely autumny walk with DH and 2 out of 4 DC.
Made fish pie and it was perfect, not too wet, not too dry, right amount of chilli, cheese and lemon. It was goldilocks' fish pie 👌

Finished pumpkin carving with my little boy, yesterday we went on our first family trip to a pumpkin patch 🥰

Slept til 1pm and remembered I had left over noodles and curry sauce in the fridge from last night

I filled the bird feeder twice as I seem to have attracted a dozen sparrows, a robin and some blue tits. It's out the front of the house and I watched them for ages queuing up for their turn

My contribution, watching my beautiful DD 16 and our fluffybutt doggy playing together, cheered me up no end, they're so funny.

I've spent the afternoon painting our freshly plastered and refitted kitchen.... It's only taken 6 long years of nagging but it's in!! Just a few last bits to be installed and then we're good to go!

Looking at the ever changing sky from my home office window - a constant watercolour, meteoerological reality that is truly 'poetry in motion'.

Bake day..fresh bread.. pancakes...steak pie with spuds for dinner. Woke up late feeling very satisfied following a night of passion with my lover ! Walk in woods in late afternoon sunshine...bliss

Making an Autumn crumble with my daughter, we sat down and had a good chat about school and stuff (she's 8) whilst chopping up the fruit, afterwards we went for a woodland walk with our black lab, the cat looked at us in disgust but that's perfectly normal!

DH cooked a lovely roast, it was so tasty.
