Just thought I’d ask to cheer us up and reminds ourselves that amongst all this doom and gloom there’s still happiness to be had in the simple things of life.

I’ll start. Went for a lovely long walk with my beautiful dog.. We were both so happy, the sun was shining and I put all negative thoughts out of my head and just enjoyed the moment.

Love to hear what made everyone else happy today. Smile

Going for a lovely long walk with my DH and our DD. One of those crisp, sunny, slighlty chilly Autumn days. DD running around picking leaves up and being amazed at everything (shes only 13 months old) she makes us smile everyday.

The sun shone and my beautiful children are excited about the Halloween party we will have just us. Bless them

Cheeringmeup · 11/10/2020 22:33

Played Uno after dinner with DD(20) and DS(16) - at their instigation, while DH did the dishes. Simple pleasures - love it when DC (even though mostly adults) ask "Can we play... ?"

When the first thing my 2 y/o daughter said when she hurt herself today was 'mummy, cuddle' I almost cried!!

I made a really easy pasta recipe and it turned out to be really tasty! When I’m glum I find it hard to get out of my rut and make myself actual nutritious, filling food but I’m glad I did today.

My sister’s family meeting our new baby for the first time. And our older children doing their evening disco dance bouncing on our bed, delighted by fairy lights I’ve hung up for night feeds 🥰

I had a lovely shag with DP. I made delicious brownies with DS10. DD14 gave me a lovely hug. I ran 5K in under 30minutes.

MonkeyPuddle · 11/10/2020 22:42

DS3 and me made pancakes, he listened really well and was so proud of his little self. It made my heart sing.

Topped off by a close family member receiving an MBE in the Honours List!

I looked at my partner and he had an almost full set of eyelashes.

I can’t remember the last time I saw him without huge big gaps in them from pulling them out.

Coffeeandcrumpet · 11/10/2020 22:48

Had a cup of tea with a friend and watched my son play rugby.

GiraffeWithSwag · 11/10/2020 22:51

I’ve made a big fat chicken dinner for 3 of us, FaceTime with self isolating uni student son, two friends visited with flowers and chatted on phone with 3 nhs folks (I’m a check and chat volunteer). Sat down post dinner and felt all warm and grateful for everything I have....family, friends, health.

Xenia · 11/10/2020 22:52

Sun shining. Outside. I did my yoga in the sun outside. Nothing much else but nice day even so. Got the hoovering done upstairs although I am not sure that counts as nice!

Tunnocks34 · 11/10/2020 22:52

My son had a lobectomy due to a congenital mass. - this has come back as benign and we were discharge from hospital this morning!

MintyCedric · 11/10/2020 22:53

My lovely dad, who has been bedridden due to frailty since February, and is often unable to speak, comforted me about not getting a job I really wanted.

It was just half a dozen words and hand squeeze but it meant the world to me.
