I have a friend who does it every other day! This seems wayyyyy too much for me, once a week is the maximum as far as I'm concerned (unless it's children's sheets and there's been accidents obviously) and more frequently it ends up being once a fortnight Blush

So people of mumsnet, how long do you leave it?

Generally weekly but if it's been a busy week it might be every 10 days or so. Even left it for 2 weeks recently. But I aim for weekly. They don't get overly dirty as we shower and clean pjs before bed. But with the muggy weather I get really hot at night so best to do them regularly!

eaglejulesk · 01/09/2020 09:27

Fortnightly in summer, as they are white, but less frequently in winter - I am the only one using them anyway.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 01/09/2020 09:33

I aim for weekly. It often ends up being fortnightly - especially in the colder months (less sweaty).

My bedding is currently in the machine......

Enko · 01/09/2020 09:34

Fortnightly I have a reminder on my phone to do so.

BunnyLovesBananas · 01/09/2020 09:36

Weekly

There are lots of threads on this which would answer your question if you search for them

yarncakes · 01/09/2020 09:37

Once a week.

dottiedodah · 01/09/2020 09:37

About every week or 10 days depending on the weather /time and so on .Just love a freshly made bed! White cotton sheets mmm!

JulietteLeGall · 01/09/2020 09:39

Every Tuesday

CarrieFour · 01/09/2020 09:39

When the sun is shining. And I'm at the bottom of the laundry basket.

So could be once a week. Could be once a month.

Pillows get done sooner but we all go to bed clean.

If there's a reason to change something then of course it's done right away.

School starts back tomorrow and the sun is shining so I'll do DD bed today so it's nice at bedtime for her.

MothAndRabbit · 01/09/2020 09:40

Once a year whether they need it or not.

IdblowJonSnow · 01/09/2020 09:43

Yabu for asking!

I'm sure there is one of these threads at least twice a week (which is more often than I change mine!).

Fishyfinger · 01/09/2020 09:43

When I think it smells? Or if we spill coffee (white bedding) Or have loads of messy sex... Grin

I don't have a laundry schedule.

AmberShadesofGold · 01/09/2020 09:44

Weekly - every Friday so the weekend is all nice and fresh.

Gothamgirl1970 · 01/09/2020 09:44

Every Saturday unless I have a super sweaty menopause related night episode then that requires a sheet change

monkeyonthetable · 01/09/2020 09:45

In theory, once a week. In practise often once a fortnight. But we do shower or bathe very day and change PJs often so the bed stays quite fresh for a while.

DilloDaf · 01/09/2020 09:46

Every tuesday
No idea why this is funny but it is Grin

Cherrybalm · 01/09/2020 09:46

my room/bed sheets - every week or two.

DH room/bed sheets - atleast every week. he sweats a lot more than me!

baby bedding (9 month old) - every 2/3 days

I can't sleep on bedding that has been on for too long, it makes me feel cringy. was worse when me and DH used to share a bed.

GinDrinker00 · 01/09/2020 09:53

Weekly or twice weekly. Couldn’t do it every fortnight 😖

ancientgran · 01/09/2020 09:54

Probably averages out to every 10 days. Sometimes might be a fortnight other times after 6 or 7 days. With warm clammy nights recently probably more like 4 or 5 days. I don't do regular Smile

emmathedilemma · 01/09/2020 09:57

About every 10 days.

MinesAPintOfTea · 01/09/2020 09:57

Aim for once a week, then it doesn't matter if I miss a week.

When my cleaner restarts, she changes all the beds every week

ArabellaScott · 01/09/2020 09:59

New bedsheets for birthdays and Christmas. Whether they need it or not.

PurdyFlower · 01/09/2020 10:03

Weekly. It’s only me but I love the feeling of clean bed sheets.

Astrabees · 01/09/2020 10:04

I do try for fortnightly, though we prefer our bed to feel sleeped in. I have linen duvet covers and pillow cases, they stay fresh longer anyway.

imissthesouth · 01/09/2020 10:10

Every week for the sheets, daily for the pillowcases. Yes this involves me having a huge amount of pillowcases.
