AIBU to ask how often you change bedsheets?

I have a friend who does it every other day! This seems wayyyyy too much for me, once a week is the maximum as far as I'm concerned (unless it's children's sheets and there's been accidents obviously) and more frequently it ends up being once a fortnight Blush

So people of mumsnet, how long do you leave it?

I used to change sheets every week but now every 2 weeks ish. It's just me, no sex, no hot sweats (yet) or anything. An occasional drip of morning coffee is about it, plus general body detritus.

nosswith · 01/09/2020 19:13

It varies according to time of year, much more often in the summer.

NoMoreReluctantCustodians · 01/09/2020 19:41

Every 2 weeks. When I was a student many years ago I did it at the end of each term Blush

BMW6 · 01/09/2020 19:51

I put a fresh set on bed just before I get in, and have alarm set for 3am to strip bed and put another fresh set on.

Anything less is just minging and you are all lazy filthy feckers frankly

SummerPoppies · 01/09/2020 20:06

Mine are washed daily due to night sweats. Cheers menopause!
Husband's are done weekly.
We have a eurobed so have separate bedding.

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 01/09/2020 20:13

Crikey, I never knew they came off!
I thought they were just part of the bed so were automatically replaced when you bought a new bed - every twenty years.
I feel a bit silly now. Hmm

AltheaThoon · 01/09/2020 20:27

@alreadytaken

YABVVU to ask a question that comes up regularly. Change mine when I want to, depends a lot on the weather - and it's no-one else's business how often that is.
This ^ I don't understand the obsession with knowing how often everyone else changes their bedding. I don't even think it's a conversation I've ever had with any of my friends in rl. Who cares?
QuinionsRainbow · 01/09/2020 20:33

For the umpteenth tine - weekly, usually on Fridays!

Pinktornado · 01/09/2020 20:34

I knew a guy who never changed his bedsheets EVER. He insisted that because he showered each night before bed he didn’t need to. Envy (not envy) Last I heard he had a girlfriend so I assume he changed his ways.

SummerPoppies · 01/09/2020 22:54

@WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat every twenty years? You've more money than sense! You will be telling us that you buy a new pillow every time you buy a new bed next!
People today! Harrumph!

Thomasina79 · 01/09/2020 23:01

Another nutter here, every other day. Duvet every three to four days. I just love the smell of fresh bedding, plus my skin is quite sensitive.

lovelymm · 01/09/2020 23:11

Every day I have freshly ironed expensive cotton sheets. It's improved my life and mental health no end.

PegasusReturns · 01/09/2020 23:15

Cleaner changes all the bed linen once a week and also the morning we go on holiday.

Torvean32 · 02/09/2020 02:05

I change mine weekly

readingismycardio · 02/09/2020 05:53

Once a week. Pillowcases every 3 days.

Tunnocks34 · 02/09/2020 06:23

Fortnightly on a Sunday. I did used to do weekly but with five beds the washing is just too much.

pinkksugarmouse · 15/10/2020 00:29

weekly

Serin · 15/10/2020 00:31

Every Saturday morning.

Every day. I know it's weird. I also don't use fitted sheets and I iron my sheets

Audreyseyebrows · 15/10/2020 00:35

Once or twice a week depending on how hot and bothered I get.

Leaannb · 15/10/2020 00:38

Leaannb · 15/10/2020 01:07
