Just been chatting online to a potential date about cock shots, and he said loads of women ask for them on OLD.

I expressed surprise and said in my experience as a women and my also my friends, most women don't appreciate a doc pic.

Well obviously he's mansplained it to me, and many women do enjoy cock shots (apparently)

Am I so wrong? I would assume anyone wanting a dic pic was one of the online scammers and "normal" OLD women certainly DO NOT want pictures of penises in their inbox!

Am I wrong. Do some women actually want dic pics?

Isn't it because men are so obsessed with their dicks that they assume that everyone else must find them so amazing too?

Sadly I suspect that some women on OLD pretend to like dick pics as they want to keep the men interested/happy

Obviously there will be some who want the pictures but they should only be sent if specifically asked for and wanted, never unsolicited. However I think some of those asking are doing it because they think it's expected of them, the visual equivalent of lying back and thinking of England.

Over on FB one of my friends has posted a screenshot of a guy she's chatting to vis OLD aking if she has WhatsApp. She replies she doesn't use WhatsApp. He says he was hoping to swap pictures. She says all her pictures are on her profile. He replies that he meant nudes. She replies that she doesn't do nude photos. He replies that "everyone else" does and he's no longer interested.

There is a definitely an expectation from men using OLD that nude photos will be exchanged early on the process.

I despair for my DC and hope that when they're older they can meet someone the old fashioned way without having to send strangers photographs of their genitals first.

Well exactly but it fuels the idea that everyone else is doing it and there will be women who send them/ask for them even though they don't really want to because they'll think that not doing it will put them at a dating disadvantage.

The LOOK of a dic is not what (most)women find attractive about them. They are no more beautiful ,attractive or exciting than a belly-button.

There are much sexier parts of a man's body.
(Context would be very important in overcoming the unattractive nature of the isolated body part .)

Perhaps women should collect these pics and send a library of them in response to all future unsolicited examples?
