To ask how you get can possibly get married in secret?

Me and DP would like to get married in our local registry office just us two.

They only accommodate this sort of ceremony Monday - Thursday, which means my chosen witnesses wouldn’t be able to come

How on earth can you get married in secret if you have no witnesses? I darent do the whole “pulling people off the street”

I won’t be having a photographer or anything and even so, that would only be one witness

Has anyone done this successfully?

I got married in my lunch break and asked office workers in the building to be witnesses. Then I went back to the office. Word of warning: it was shit

Hello, yes we did a secret ceremony. Two kind friends as witnesses and no family. The four of us took the morning off work! We kept oyr expectations low.
It seemed funny and secretive at the time and we met up again after work to giggle about our morning and then the dodging of questions from colleagues in the afternoon. Had a lovely supper and drinks.

My hubby and I got married away from our home town. Plan to ask strangers to be witnesses but it turned out beautifully when the registrar said my 11 yo son could be a witness. Totally made the day to have his signature on the certificate.
