Every wall covered in Kate Forman fabric (apart from the expense at £90 a metre)?

I’ve lived with worse - but not happily and not for long. Can you paint it?

MrsPotatoHeadsSheeWee · 21/08/2020 13:57

Fine by me.

tillytoodles1 · 21/08/2020 13:58

No, it looks really dark and old-fashioned even with expensive paper.

OverTheRainbow88 · 21/08/2020 13:58

I want that bed!

botswanabanana · 21/08/2020 14:00

Its not mine. The walls are covered in linen fabric.

I love it.

ZolaGrey · 21/08/2020 14:00

Presumably it's a period house and the rooms have been decorated to fit it. I don't hate it and I spend about 20mins a day in my bedroom actually awake so 🤷🏻‍♀️

The80sweregreat · 21/08/2020 14:01

Once the bed is out it's not too bad. The paper is fancy but not terrible.

botswanabanana · 21/08/2020 14:02

It is fabric

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 21/08/2020 14:02

I could live with it, but I'd be saving up for a change (and feeling guilty if it was expensive to start with).

AdultierAdult · 21/08/2020 14:02

I think it’s okay and I could live with it especially if I could change the furniture. I would probably be inclined to tear it down though, cost be damned. I don’t mind an oppressively papered William Morris room which gives a similar effect but I don’t like that particular fabric.

MistressMounthaven · 21/08/2020 14:03

I like the floor, rug and bed. Could live with the wallpaper.

Takemetothebar · 21/08/2020 14:04

Yes I like it, but would ditch the shabby chic signs.

Laaalaaaa · 21/08/2020 14:04

Paint it grey? It’s a beautiful room.

eachtigertires · 21/08/2020 14:05

Depends on the style of the rest of the house I think and quality of finish. It isn’t inherently bad but it could be if it was out of context or poor finish.

Bella2020 · 21/08/2020 14:05

Looks fine to me. You won't be living in a slum, will you.

Orangesarenottheonlyfruit · 21/08/2020 14:07

I quite like it. But then I live in a period house and long to decorate it in anything but bland griege. Alas no funds.

applepineapple · 21/08/2020 14:07

Don't paint it grey, that would be awful.

I love it OP, gives the room some lovely character.

Mamette · 21/08/2020 14:08

I could live in it fine if I didn’t have to worry about the maintenance of the walls- which is what? Hoovering? Anyway if that wasn’t my responsibility then it’s ok.

The big tallboy would have to go though as I would have anxiety about it falling over, wall screws notwithstanding.

Lweji · 21/08/2020 14:08

Are you buying or renting, or does this belong to someone else?

It's definitely not me, so I'd only take it if I could change it or had no other alternative.

formerbabe · 21/08/2020 14:10

I don't get it. What's wrong with it?

Lweji · 21/08/2020 14:10

Also, what's the point of those two mirrors?

AnneKipanki · 21/08/2020 14:10

I lie it . Yes.

angelfishrock · 21/08/2020 14:10

not my style but yeah, I could live with that - esp considering that most of the time in there is spent eyes closed.

Soubriquet · 21/08/2020 14:11

I actually like it too.

Goes nicely with the bed
