Every wall covered in Kate Forman fabric (apart from the expense at £90 a metre)?

What a beautiful floor, I don’t mind the walls, I love the floor, with the right furniture it could be a nice room.

Queenoftheashes · 21/08/2020 14:33

It’s fabulous in its way. Is that someone’s ashes in that urn thing?

BottomOfMyPencilCase · 21/08/2020 14:34

I don't like the signs or the unfinished four-poster bed but I'm surprisingly ok with the walls. I could live with it, thank you. When do I move in?

iklboo · 21/08/2020 14:34

What is it with all the 'paint it grey' nowadays? It was the colour of prison & institution walls when I was growing up.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 21/08/2020 14:35

I rather like it.

Justkeeprollingalong · 21/08/2020 14:35

It's beautiful

Toilenstripes · 21/08/2020 14:36

I would keep everything except the bed, which should be a French caned bed. And the shabby chic prints would need to go.

thepeopleversuswork · 21/08/2020 14:36

I like the floor, the wallpaper and the bed. The signs are twee and I wouldn't keep the chest of drawers.

I'd quite happily live with it for a bit though -- would be in no mad rush to change it.

Lovemusic33 · 21/08/2020 14:38

I love it, don’t see the problem, looks classic not old fashioned, much better than all the boring grey rooms I see.

Lweji · 21/08/2020 14:38

The tall boy is very much the wrong wood for this room, as is the vase and the chairs.

They should be a single colour, no patterns, and preferably a much lighter colour, or much darker, for contrast.

formerbabe · 21/08/2020 14:39

You must have missed the memo @iklboo we are all meant to live in grey, soulless boxes filled with crushed velvet and mirrored furniture. Any form of colour or individuality is very poor taste...apparently

SuzieCarmichael · 21/08/2020 14:39

I like it. I’d do the rest of the room and furniture in period-Scandi chic (lots of white, maybe a bit of twiggy shit).

Dumakey · 21/08/2020 14:41

It looks like a dolls house room. I love it x

iklboo · 21/08/2020 14:41

@formerbabe - thank goodness I have no taste Grin

SkaraBrae · 21/08/2020 14:43

I like the floor, the wallpaper and the bed. The signs are twee and I wouldn't keep the chest of drawers.

Agree. The signs are definitely twee overkill and that chest of drawers is too orange.
I would varnish the bed dark and do the same with chest of drawers.

KatherineJaneway · 21/08/2020 14:44

No. Looks terrible.

Crazybunnylady123 · 21/08/2020 14:45

I personally don’t like the room, but I hate grey as well. Just decorated our front room a warm cream and orange.Grin

The ‘chest’ is a Georgian tallboy, please don’t slather it with varnish it will lose all its value.
thedaytodayyesterday · 21/08/2020 14:49

I really like it, it grows on me every time I look at it ! Don’t like the word signs but apart from that it looks cosy . Why are you asking ? Who’s is it?

Polnm · 21/08/2020 14:49

Reverse image shows that the house has a full website/ google dehasseinterior design

Shedbuilder · 21/08/2020 14:49

It looks timeless, not like the lilac one year, grey the next trend-obsessed cheap decorating styles. It has a touch of American classic about it. Expensive. Not absolutely my taste but I could live with it happily for a decade. I'd take the armchairs and the French signs out to untwee it and look around for more interesting replacements. It lacks books. Every bedroom needs books and a radio.

userxx · 21/08/2020 14:50

Nope, it makes me go cross eyed.

Polnm · 21/08/2020 14:51

It is quite an unusual house looking at the website-money and little taste.

TatianaBis · 21/08/2020 14:51

I like the tallboy, the pot, the chairs. Don’t like the bed frame which is naff, the wall fabric or the signs but I could live with it until I had time to change it.

Why do you ask OP?

junebug87 · 21/08/2020 14:51

I like it, apart from the shabby chic boards and the black mirror.
