That's it really! I'm not one of these people who scours the internet all day for competitions to enter, but I do enter quite a few and have only ever won a voucher for sports clothes, free tickets to a local attraction and a Legally Blonde wig!! Is it all just a big con/data harvesting exercise or do people really win amazing prizes?

Best thing I won was £50 in vouchers and a tray of doughnuts! My friend once won a mini Cooper though!

Oooh! Doughnuts and a car both sound amazing! Maybe I'm just not "lucky"... Grin

I've only ever won one thing - a pregnancy massage at an NCT raffle. (It was fab though)

I've only ever won one thing - a teddy that was bigger than my youngest son who was two at the time. Came with a little bottle of cherry liquor.
He is called Big Ted and my boys love him.

Christmas!
I won a turkey in the raffle at the school Christmas fair on the Friday. The next day I won a Christmas hamper at the church Christmas fair.

dementedma · 05/08/2020 08:05

Won a Christmas hamper when we were broke so that was good.

I won a writing competition once. I think there was a small cash prize but the winning, that was the really big deal for me. I was at uni and all the lecturers were there to listen to me read. I was never expected to go to uni. I barely attended school as a child. I felt "stupid". That was amazing.

I won a PlayStation for doing a backflip in a club when I was 17. Woke my mum up to tell her when I got in at 2am. She wasn’t as excited as me 😂.

I won a bugaboo pram years ago worth 1200, that was pretty amazing. More recently I won a giant Teddy (about 3ft tall) in a raffle - the kids thought that was amazing too (my husband did not)

SquigglePigs · 05/08/2020 08:11

A photo shoot and free photo of my toddler. Great local photography studio who had a stall at a parent/baby event. All I had to do was enter my name and contact details - no marketing sign up or anything.

Tickets for the Live 8 concert. I never enter competitions but Radio One had a ‘text to win’ thing whilst I was on the way to work and I had my phone in my hand so text the number. I was convinced it was a scam till I got the tickets!
