Ok so this is somewhat lighthearted but myself and DH are constantly arguing about who is right.

....how do you make up squash?

One of us puts the water in first then adds the squash
The other one puts the squash in first and then adds the water.

How do you make it up and why do you do it that way? Water first or squash first?

I'm hoping to prove my way is the right way (😬)

I don't want to put YABU OR YANBU next to either as it'll out which way I do it!

Water first here too - the rationale is that we have several different brands of squash/cordial and they need to be diluted in different proportions, doing water first means you can monitor the colour as you add it in. Squash first would lead to over or under dilution (or else a smaller or larger than expected glass of squash. The horror. I’ve never needed to stir it btw, the squash incorporates well enough working stirring.

@angieloumc, in the 70's we'd call it dilutable juice, as opposed to juice. Then I suppose it got shortened.

I put water in first because I add as little juice as possible.

Squash first so it get mixed properly.

Water first! Then when I add the squash I can judge how strong depending on how the colour goes as I pour it. Squash first is just a guessing game, too risky.
