I watched a cook (Millie Taylor) make a Spanish version on Instagram (Porra Antequerana) looked incredible!

I thought I didn't like it until I was served it by a family member who'd lived in Barcelona for a long time - completely different and delicious. She used the right sort of tomatoes and seasoned it to perfection.

So, hard to tell and tastes vary - but there's a lot of indifferent gazpacho out there.

I meant a version of, not a Spanish version 🙄

Piping hot gazpacho.

One word, peppers, or two words, fucking peppers. Red/green/orange/yellow peppers are the single most revolting food stuff available, mind you Coriander comes close to that level of revoltingness
I'd say no and I could never eat it. My husband loves it, so I'd probably make gazpacho for him, cos I'm nice like that.

Love it in hot countries not in the UK!

My husband likes it and I make it for him occasionally. I always think I don't like it but it always surprises me! It's very refreshing on a hot day.

YANBU it's vile

Delicious. When I was a child my aunt used to make it and then M&S used to make the most delicious version. Since then I've had a few disappointing version, but in principle, yum!

I really don't like it. I live in Spain and many places put it on their daily set menu in summer.
People try to convince me that the reason I don't like gazpacho is because I haven't tried theirs yet. It's not.
I love tomatoes, and bread and tomatoes is one of my favourite breakfasts, but I cannot abide gazpacho.

I had it once, and I think I liked it BUT..
I was 16 and it was the first time I had gone out for a meal with a boy. I had got myself so excited and nervous in the build-up to the date that after about two mouthfuls I felt so sick and faint that I had to go outside and lean against the stone wall of the pub before I collapsed.
I can't remember what happened in the rest of the evening but we were together for 2.5 years after that, so he didn't count it against me.
So gazpacho for me brings back very intense memories of teenage excitement and angst!

Salmorejo is far superior, in my opinion. It's like gazpacho's hunkier big cousin 😂 Love both.

Yes but the soup has to be really cold and the weather really hot. The one in a carton (Alvalle?) is actually ok.

I love it, but it has to be made properly. It’s not just liquidised tomatoes, onions and peppers.
It should be a clear soup with small pieces of salad veg. and croutons.

I like it but prefer salmorejo
