What is your favourite pudding?

I have so many favourite puddings but if I had to choose it would be a really decent banofee pie, with cream. I don’t understand how previous generations survived without it. They must have suffered terribly.

For now my winning pudding will have to do - brioche with Nutella, broken into pieces and heated up with a little bit of custard

Lemon meringue pie.

I have no favourites, I would happily eat all of them stretched out to the moon and back.

@Turnedouttoes my ed is df and was really missing dairy. We are now able to buy Elmlea plant based double cream which is whippable and tastes pretty much like the real thing. I did a Victoria sponge with jam and cream and it was like the real thing. There is also Oatly creme fraiche, and you can also get squirty df cream in a can. Do not miss out on your fave puddings!

As for mine, it's pretty much ALL the ones mentioned, but it's between trifle and Black Forest gateaux mmmmm!

YES! Puddings should be fruity and tart (lemon tart, summer pudding)
with a little creme fraiche
OR coffee / chocolate (both dark / strong / not too sweet)
So, little French chocolate pots with brandy over
OR proper home made Tiramisu or Zabaglione

I am glad we are all just politely turning our eyes from the person whose contribution to this imaginative buffet was a handful of cherry tomatoes. Bless.

For my part, I'm torn between the best of stodge (bread and butter pudding or sticky toffee pudding with custard) vs the best of frippery (sherry trifle or bnnoffee pie).

And it was probably shit in reality but when I was a child I was sometimes permitted to order The Rocky Horror at Harvester and remember it as being ENORMOUS and the height of decadent luxury. Do these still exist?

I love banoffi pie but if I had to choose just one thing it would be cherry clafoutis yummm

bestbrowsintown Gypsy tart. Was my favourite! Waitrose do a salted chocolate and caramel tart that tastes vaguely similar.

I love a chocolate torte with a dollop of cream.

And if I go to pizza express I will always have chocolate fudge cake with mascapone.

venice they still do rocky horror at harvester, but it’s half the size. Pfft!
