What is your favourite pudding?

I have so many favourite puddings but if I had to choose it would be a really decent banofee pie, with cream. I don’t understand how previous generations survived without it. They must have suffered terribly.

What’s your favourite pudding?

Has to be Cranachan the king of Scottish desserts
Also love Pavlova, Eton Mess, sticky toffee pudding and a really good trifle

Mum also makes a wicked sticky date with extra caramel sauce

Homemade damson pie with no added sugar except sprinkled on the top, and thick cream!

I like a homemade Bakewell tart or brownie with raspberry's and clotted cream.

Chocolate fondant.
Fruit crumble and custard.
Christmas pudding with amaretto cream.
Hot apple pie and ice cream.
Tart au citron.

Gooey chocolate fudge brownie & cream
Peach melba
Warm doughy cookie and icecream

How do I choose only one?

Sorry not with you up on banofee pie, love bananas, toffee etc but together doesn't work for me.

Above recipe is lovely @EnthusiasmIsDisturbed and really easy to make.

Any lemon based dessert is a winner. Lemon posset with shortbread maybe the favourite.

Homemade cake with buttercream centre and fondant icing surround. I love birthdays.

I agree and vanilla birthday cake is the best in my opinion and it has to be homemade not the shop bought tasteless versions.

I really do not get the love for creme brulee. Tasteless slop with a bitter burnt crust

Also bananas are the Devil's colon so banofee pie ruins perfectly good caramel.

I am a meringue person. Eton Mess/Pavlova/Lemon meringue pie yum

LakieLady I have tried it but I'm not a fan of booze in desserts (or in food full stop).

Well apart from the cakes we had 35 years ago from a patisserie in Rouen, each one of which was alcoholic mouthfuls of bliss and cream and fruit and chocolate and still stick in my mind now it must be Creme brûlée. Apart from the one I made once when the saucepan hadn’t been throughly cleaned and had a slight taste of garlic.

Can only be an improvement in my eyes

Baked cheesecake (the one Pizza Express used to do - it changed and it's not the same)
Or... pistachio and olive oil cake (Ask do this and it's bloody lovely) - would not have even tried it if they hadn't given it to me on my birthday - now I have it every time. Lush!

Creme Brulee is my deal breaker dessert. If its on the menu I will have it, regardless of my waistline!

Something with pear and chocolate would be good, maybe a cheesecake or an pear frangripan tart ( I'm sure Pizza express used to do this back in the late 90's?)

Can we go top 5 as do love a chocolate brownie, but that's not a pudding is it? Or those big ice cream sundaes you had at the beefeater when I was a kid, with cake and waffles and chocolate sauce in a huge glass ?!
