What is your favourite pudding?

I have so many favourite puddings but if I had to choose it would be a really decent banofee pie, with cream. I don’t understand how previous generations survived without it. They must have suffered terribly.

What’s your favourite pudding?

Treacle tart
Clafoutis
Sticky toffee pudding
Rhubarb crumble
Sussex pond pudding (had it 3 times when visiting friends of in laws, but too scared to make at home)

BikeRunSki · 03/07/2020 13:18

Chocolate fudge cake and custard... or maybe Apple crumble and ice cream.... or maybe sticky toffee pud.... or pavlova.... or bread and butter pud, especially when it’s made with marmalade...

I love puddings, although not milk puddings, especially not pannacotta.

BikeRunSki · 03/07/2020 13:19

@Becles, Sussex Pond pud is amazing, and much easier to make than you might expect.

Ori37 · 03/07/2020 14:14

It's funny how people have gone from the permitted one favourite pudding to listing 4 or 5! Although no judgement from me, I love ALL puddings. ALL OF THEM!!!

Cheese and biscuits Smile I don't really enjoy sweet puddings.

SauvignonBlanketyBlank · 03/07/2020 14:36

Proper indulgent cheesecake with cream on the side

Pambalambalam · 03/07/2020 15:05

Pavlova with strawberries or raspberries

AntsInPenzance · 03/07/2020 15:16

Lemon tart
Tiramasu
A good quality trifle
Sticky toffee pudding
proper baked cheesecake

acocadochocolate · 03/07/2020 15:38

Anything involving dark chocolate

Cookie123456 · 03/07/2020 15:45

Cornflake tart
Chocolate concrete
Jam roly-poly

I can't choose between them.

Yesterdayforgotten · 03/07/2020 15:48

OP what qualifies as a pudding? I'd classify pudding as dessert and anything goes. For instance a pudding/dessert could be hot fudgy brownie and cream for me. Oh and who can list just one favourite so yes YABU there Wink

SerenityNowwwww · 03/07/2020 15:50

I always go for cheese and biscuits anyway.

PhilSwagielka · 03/07/2020 15:54

Profiteroles. When my auntie got married she had a tower of them instead of a wedding cake, and I was very happy. Extra points if they have chocolate cream inside them.

SilverOtter · 03/07/2020 15:56

Apple crumble, apple Charlotte, apple pie....really anything containing apples😋

loubieloo4 · 03/07/2020 16:00

Hot chocolate fudge cake with Cornish ice cream

Fifthtimelucky · 03/07/2020 17:00

Raspberry Pavlova or Eton Mess
Summer Pudding
Lemon Posset
Baked Peaches
Chocolate Mousse
Gooseberry Fool
Crème Brûlée
Proper Trifle

I think lots of chocolatey puddings are disappointing, unless homemade, so I tend to avoid them (and just eat chocolate after the pudding).

CaffiSaliMali · 03/07/2020 17:10

Hot chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream - yum!

I'm also partial to an Eton mess, a New York cheesecake or profiteroles.

I'm now ravenous.

Turnedouttoes do you know that oatly do dairy free ‘cream’. It’s lovely!

Rubbleonthedouble1 · 03/07/2020 20:07

@Turnedouttoes

Ooohhh I love a pavlova or Eton mess but sadly I’m dairy free.

Perhaps Apple crumble and custard

See my post above!
anyoldname76 · 03/07/2020 20:09

My 2 favourites are trifle and rhubarb crumble and custard. I rarely make either as it's only me that likes them in our house

Lincslady53 · 03/07/2020 20:10

A good chocolate brownie, crispy on the outside and gooey inside.
Lemon tart.
Plum crumble

isthiswalter · 03/07/2020 20:15

A really good apple crumble, properly baked in the oven, with ice cream.

ThePurpleMoose · 03/07/2020 20:25

DH's bread & butter pudding made with chocolate chip brioche underneath and white bread on top 🤤

Special mention for our local farm shop's chocolate cheesecake which comes in 'individual' portions but we share one because it's so rich.
