Three things you love about yourself...

In light of the skinny vs fat threads, and all the doom and gloom going on in the world, I would like you to put three things you love about yourself!

Don't be modest, it could be a physical attribute, a talent you have, or the fact you make an amazing mushroom risotto. Anything really.

I'll go first:

  1. I have really full, perfect rosebud lips and straight white teeth. I love my smile in red lipstick!
  2. I've been told I'm very eloquent - I can say in 3 words what everyone else says in 100
  3. I throw a really good dinner party. When I actually make some effort it turns out I can cook. Top dish is a beef and red wine stew with wholegrain mash.

Hoping I get some replies or I will feel incredibly big headed 😂

I can laugh at myself.
I can apologise.
I have nice lips (maybe not by today's filler trout pouts, but I have nice natural lips).

Kalim8 · 10/06/2020 22:20

The pets like me.
I have beautiful eyes.
I am patient (less so now I am a parent)

Herecomethehotstepper · 11/06/2020 08:32

My eyes are a beautiful colour. They are a mix of blue, grey, green and yellow and no one can actually agree what colour they are!

I care a lot about other people.

I'm far from perfect, but I'm a good mum Smile

Zenithbear · 11/06/2020 09:55

I'm sociable
I have a fab figure
I'm a daredevil

  1. I'm resourceful in the face of problems.
  2. I'm kind.
  3. I'm clever.
Pippinsqueak · 11/06/2020 18:43

@Wolfgirrl ummm I breast fed my daughter as she's teething badly and no eating so I suppose that's something I like about myself, that I can comfort her when she's in pain

This is really hard for me for some reason

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 11/06/2020 18:49

I am a really good cook.

I have fantastic boobs.

I am quick-witted and very funny.

  1. My hair. It's naturally blonde, and even though I'm now in my mid 50s,it shows no sign of going grey. Also it's VERY wavy. I used to spend ages fighting with it,trying to make it straight, but gave up 10 years ago when I no longer had the strength to wield a hairdryer (frozen shoulder, arthritis and RSI all in one shoulder Sad). Now I realise that actually,it looks pretty good when left to its own devices!
  2. My skin. People have often commented over the years what good skin I have.
  3. My sense of humour and ability to make people laugh. One of the biggest compliments I ever had was when an old friend of mine introduced me to a friend of hers, and her friend later told me that our mutual friend had said to her 'You'll like Winter, she's really funny'. Smile
Holymolymackerel · 11/06/2020 19:14

35andThriving · 13/06/2020 14:56

I am empathetic
I like my face. I am not conventionally pretty but I do like my face, and feel confident in not wearing make- up.
I am an honest, trustwothy person.

Wolfgirrl · 09/07/2020 19:46

Thought I would reprise this thread on such a gloomy night...

I've also remembered I'm really good at beer pong.

My hair, I love its colour.

My skins, I may once have worried about the greasy skin now I rejoice in no wrinkles.

Despite being prone to depression I'm actually relentlessly optimistic and can always see an alternative point of view.

Lifeisgenerallyfun · 09/07/2020 20:14

I’m Very resilient
I have good critical analysis skills, I don’t just tow the party line unthinkingly
I look out for my friends.

I’m generally very happy being me, no one else in the world is me and everyone should celebrate being themselves, you are the most important and wonderful person in the world

Itsarattrap · 09/07/2020 20:15

In summer, I go deep olive as soon as the sun appears (without actually sunbathing as I don't have time for that!) I hated this when I was a child though.

For a woman, and quite a small one, I am crazily strong!

My body is fairly wrecked after three dc but my legs are still in good nick. (struggled to think of a final one)

fortheloveofcrisps · 09/07/2020 21:10

I'm very handy- I can do just about anything if I try.
I make awesome cakes
I get things done- if it needs doing I just do it
