Three things you love about yourself...

In light of the skinny vs fat threads, and all the doom and gloom going on in the world, I would like you to put three things you love about yourself!

Don't be modest, it could be a physical attribute, a talent you have, or the fact you make an amazing mushroom risotto. Anything really.

I'll go first:

1. I have really full, perfect rosebud lips and straight white teeth. I love my smile in red lipstick!
2. I've been told I'm very eloquent - I can say in 3 words what everyone else says in 100
3. I throw a really good dinner party. When I actually make some effort it turns out I can cook. Top dish is a beef and red wine stew with wholegrain mash.

Hoping I get some replies or I will feel incredibly big headed 😂

I'm a loyal and protective friend

I'm empathic

I never NEVER give up no matter how hard things get.

Someone asked me this the other day and I couldn't answer even one but you've all inspired me:

1. I feel the fear and do it anyway
2. I'm a great driver
3. I can tie a knot in a cherry stem with my tongue

I've got lovely natural gold coloured hair.
I should have been a private detective, I can find most things out.
I'm reliable. Bit boring, but I'm a solid always there sort of person.

I have the perfect eye for the right size of tupperware for leftovers

I love my face and my waistline

I went much further in my career than what I thought would be possible with my background

I love my hair, every inch of it. Although it's mostly in a mum bun it's literally my crown!
I love my passion. Passion for those I love, justice and helping others.
I love my determination. I've never gone down without a fight and I've always got back up, no matter what.

I have bum length auburn hair with just the right amount of waviness to look flowing. It's beautiful, and I love it.

I have gorgeous eyes. They're like sunflowers against a blue sky.

I am incredibly caring and I'm very good at my job. I have a knack of being able to put people at ease with a great bedside manner.

I have plenty of energy and am rarely ill

I 'scrub up well' (I don't make much of an effort on a day to day basis so people tend to be pleasantly surprised when they see me in all my finery 😊)

I don't need much to feel content and have no inclination to keep up with the Joneses

I’m a great cook.
I’m now happy to embrace the grey and won’t be having my hair coloured again when hairdressers re-open.
I’m braver, stronger and more resilient than I ever thought I could be.

My lips are naturally a lovely deep pink colour
I'm very handy with a camera
I'm not two faced, I'm a what you see is what you get sort of person.

My height. I am 5'7" which makes me tall enough to reach the top shelves in supermarkets but not so tall that I look gangly

I am a competent driver, and don't flap if I get lost. Sat navs and a good sense of direction are my friend

I am a competent cook and baker - we eat well in our house and I can make a basic sponge cake without needing to look at a recipe.

Gosh, I sound big headed there

I have a good sense of humour and love making people smile.

I am a really good mother, shockingly as i didnt have a maternal bone in my body until i had him

I am really petite - good things in small packages and all that jazz.

1. I can still play the violin fairly well after not playing regularly in over a decade.
2. I do like my hair...most of the time. Learning to embrace my natural curls/waves more these days!
3. I worked hard to get my dream job as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (and I love it!)

Love this.

1. I’m really creative and always making something that gives me joy just because. For example currently writing a film. It’s great.
2. I’m really fun and have had loads of cool experiences eg skydiving, flying a plane, hitchhiking etc.
3. I’m a really good kisser!

I am known as ‘the finder’. At home it is not considered lost until I cannot find it and at work I am often approached by others who want things found.

I can always make my friends laugh as in roaring laughing. I do love a laugh! We often get to the stage where we are laughing so hard we can’t talk.

That’s it I’m afraid! I consider myself pretty mediocre in life. I love my family, friends and care greatly for the people I work with but I don’t believe that I do anything outstanding that would make me proud.

A 2-for-1 that I'm both naturally clever and motivated to work hard.
I think some people toil away but don't have inate ability, and equally some are very intelligent but not able to buckle down and both combinations have their pitfalls.

I'm adaptable. I'm living in a country I never thought I'd live in, a career I neeeeeeeever thought I'd work in and a live a lifestyle quite different to what I imagined but I'm doing well!

I am one of those irritating people who is naturally slim/skiny though no virture of my own. I never watch what I eat or do any great deal of proper exercise so I don't really know if I deserve my size 8 with a flat stomach, but I'll enjoy it while my metabolism stays like this! Point 3 does mean I have NO boobs though. 🤣

I'm quite clever

I love my wild streak (although it has been seriously tempered by motherhood!)

If I try really hard at something it is (almost) always very successful.

1. I am not bothered who sees me naked; l am relaxed and comfortable with my naked self.

1. I’m prepared to change a plan, rather than try, try again.

1. I am very tactile (perhaps not good in Covid times though).

I read in blocks, not word by word or line by line so I can read a book in a couple of hours. Never met anyone who reads as fast as me although it does mean I spend a lot of money on books!

I'm generous with my time, my belongings, presents to friends and family.

I have really deep blue eyes

I'm clever and can think through problems very quickly.
I have integrity and always do what I think is right, not what is easy.
I have lovely perky boobs, they look at least 2 decades younger than the rest of me.

Ahh I love this thread!! Us ladies need to appreciate ourselves a bit more.

I have nice small hands and feet.
I am clever and have good common sense/general knowledge.
I am a good laugh and easy to talk to (so I've been told!)

I'm kind and genuinely care about the children that I advocate for at work.
I successfully balance all of my other responsibilities with being a fab mum.
I have a very nice big bum.

What a lovely thread. I really struggled to think of 3! I think I need to work on the self love. I just keep thinking of things I am not good at etc. And I keep wanting to add a caveat “BUT” after each of these but here goes.

• I have great, very long slim legs (thanks Dad!).
• I am very loyal and reliable. If I say I will be there, I will 100% be there come hell or high water.
• I am not afraid of being silly and am capable of making my kids laugh like drains!

I have lovely grey eyes.
I'm a very good cook.
I'm resilient.
