Three things you love about yourself...

Wolfgirrl · 09/06/2020 19:25

In light of the skinny vs fat threads, and all the doom and gloom going on in the world, I would like you to put three things you love about yourself!

Don't be modest, it could be a physical attribute, a talent you have, or the fact you make an amazing mushroom risotto. Anything really.

I'll go first:

  1. I have really full, perfect rosebud lips and straight white teeth. I love my smile in red lipstick!
  2. I've been told I'm very eloquent - I can say in 3 words what everyone else says in 100
  3. I throw a really good dinner party. When I actually make some effort it turns out I can cook. Top dish is a beef and red wine stew with wholegrain mash.

Hoping I get some replies or I will feel incredibly big headed 😂

  1. Good social conscience
  2. Try my best at parenting
  3. Nice shiny head of hair (least importantly!)
BurnIt · 09/06/2020 20:50

Can I have another go lol #cheating

I love my freckles I have masses
I'm 45 and still dont need to dye my hair
I'm good at birthdays and gifts

thesuperfluousone · 09/06/2020 20:51

Despite havng a rough time for the last nine months I'm managing to cook a healthy meal for my DCs each night.
I've managed to support them with their education during lockdown despite still working out of the house.
I've managed to write this despite thinking I'm a horrible person who never does any good for anybody.

Lupellegrino · 09/06/2020 20:52

Sass, class and a sexy ass.

Enderthedragon · 09/06/2020 20:54

I hate these threads because I can never think of anything and it makes me kind of sad!

HMSSophie · 09/06/2020 20:57

Ender come on you can do it... go for it. Your first can be "I'm brave!" Or "I'm working on my self love". I bet you've got heaps of lovely qualities.

Mine are

  1. I'm a quick thinker
  2. I'm very kind
  3. I make myself laugh a lot
IagoWithABlackberry · 09/06/2020 21:00
  1. I'm funny. I can make very different people laugh, usually on purpose.
  2. I'm pretty smart. Or, at least, I've got a wide range of general knowledge and can remember largely useless but impressive facts.
  3. I've done well with my DC. I'm a single mum and spent so much time worrying that I wouldn't be enough for them on my own but something seems to have worked.
  • I have great boobs. Really great.
Roussette · 09/06/2020 21:01

Nice idea for a thread, OP, but would love your no. 1 lips and teeth!

Mine....

I have great legs that go really brown with even just a bit of sun. Never wear tights because the brown lasts

Like a pp, I can organise a holiday or party with flair, and love doing it!

People love my humour (so I'm told), love making others laugh

IagoWithABlackberry · 09/06/2020 21:02

@Enderthedragon is extremely modest. It's a much underrated quality.

Wolfgirrl · 09/06/2020 21:03

@Enderthedragon yes you can instantly add modesty to your list!

MondeoFan · 09/06/2020 21:03

I'm quite funny so people tell me with a dry sense of humour (think Jimmy Carr)

I'm a good driver

I'm able to get on with people from all walks of life really well (working class, middle class, lower class, very posh, not posh, un educated, uni educated) etc
An old friend told me that this was/is a really good trait to have.

allfalldown47 · 09/06/2020 21:03

I'm a good friend & mum

I'm naturally slim and look good in clothes.

I've got good hair. Even on scruffy days it makes me look more 'together'

TheVanguardSix · 09/06/2020 21:06

I love my mind. It’s been an incredible blessing and asset. Never set foot in uni (not proud at all but it is what it is) but I have nurtured and loved my mind and it’s thrived. It’s a good mind. I hope it lasts a while. Smile

I love my musical ability and appreciation. Bloody love this about me! It brings me endless joy.

I love my ability to love and appreciate people, animals, and life so wholly, so truthfully. I give thanks every day. I do love each day as if it’s my very last one. Every moment has value. I really mean that.

CrowCat · 09/06/2020 21:07

I love my eyes they're pure clear green with amber round the pupil. People say they're hypnotic!

I look a lot younger than I am. Good genes (thanks mum and dad) Smile

I'm a great cook and can turn my hand to anything in the kitchen.

FloggingMoll · 09/06/2020 21:08

Good cook...good at budget food shopping. ....have cracked the secrets of sourdough.

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 09/06/2020 21:17

Not much about my appearance although people always say am lovely and tall and slim, and people do comment on my looks if I get dressed up to go out 😂 but actually being tall just gives the illusion that I'm slimmer than I am 😂. People also always comment on my " lovely straight white teeth" especially if I wear dark red lipstick, but that took a lot of work when I was younger (13 teeth pulled, braces on twice, I also don't have eye teeth so they look straighter). I don't see any of this because I hate being tall, I feel extremely heavy and I can see that my teeth still aren't properly straight because they slant to one side which affects my smile.

I'm really good at doing make up. Hardly wear it now though, but still do the odd make-up for people. I have a talent for making it look natural but still "done up" apparently.

I've always thought I have quite nice hands and feet, my feet are big but slim and I have a nice shape to my nails naturally so I don't have to do much to them.

looselegs · 09/06/2020 21:18

I have great hair- I'm 52, my hair is red and not one grey one yet ( karma to all those who took the piss out of it at school and are now frantically dying theirs every 2 mins or are completely bald!)
I'm a good listener
I'm very laid back

Pelleas · 09/06/2020 21:20
  1. My fingernails are a nice shape
  2. I'm resourceful/good at improvising
  3. I have a very good long-term memory
Tlollj · 09/06/2020 21:20

I’m funny I can make most people laugh.
Good hair, thick red curls.
I’m good at organising. Cupboards, wardrobes, bookshelves.
