Influencer Mollie Mae puppy dies after 6 days?

Runtowintowalk · 03/06/2020 11:38

The puppy was a Pomeranian - imported from Russia? Are they known for health problems? So shocked to read the puppy died after only 6 days!! What would be the cause? Underlying health issue?

Russian imports are dodgy as fuck

OneForMeToo · 03/06/2020 11:40

Puppies can and do die at very young ages. More likely if it’s a puppy farm puppy too. They go from looking ok to dead very very fast.

zscaler · 03/06/2020 11:42

That’s so sad. Could well be an underlying problem especially if it was from a puppy farm or a disreputable breeder. Puppies really shouldn’t ever be purchased Sad hopefully their vet can identify the problem and they can expose the breeder (although the real culprits will probably not be easy to find)

Fabellini · 03/06/2020 11:43

I would hazard a guess that it possibly came from a puppy farm and was poorly from birth. Born from a mother who has been bred far too many times and is probably not much more than a puppy herself. Kept in unsanitary, overcrowded conditions and not subject to any vet checks or healthcare before being sold.

KitchenConfidential · 03/06/2020 11:43

Why the hell would you import a tiny puppy all the way from Russia? Dodgy as fuck

Buzzfrightyears · 03/06/2020 11:44

That’s so sad as they appeared to truly love him.

Runtowintowalk · 03/06/2020 11:44

Yes I saw a photo of it in the article and it looked perfectly healthy! Apparently her boyfriend got it via a UK company. You would hope they will think twice about importing dogs. I have a dog myself and I was so attached from the start. I’d be so devastated if he had died so young

It's really not unusual for puppy farm pups to die within a very short period of time.

Sadly many people go and buy a very expensive puppy, it get sick within a couple of days. Then the puppy is often either too sick to save, or in many cases the owner can't afford intensive treatment after shelling out thousands on the pup. Or in some cases the pup will have chronic problems and the owners don't want a puppy with health problems.

Not saying that's the case here, just sadly it's not an uncommon occurence

SarahTancredi · 03/06/2020 11:57

Why didn't she just get a rescue from the nearest shelter...

That poor puppy :(

The stress of the journey on its tiny little body wouldnt have helped. How could they have visited it or seen it interact with its mum/ siblings.

Set up sounds dodgy as hell

RoseAndRose · 03/06/2020 11:57

Very sad to hear of the death of a puppy - poor little thing

I hadn't realised that puppy imports had been continuing during lockdown and considerable changes to international cargo.

Buzzfrightyears · 03/06/2020 11:59

Where can I read that she got him
From Russia please?

DivGirl · 03/06/2020 12:01

That's very sad about the puppy, but her boyfriend got her a dog for her birthday? She's what...21? Pomeranians have a 12-16 year lifespan (although, clearly, that is no longer applicable). Since when did animals become appropriate birthday presents?!

I'd have been happy with a Nandos and a bottle of wine when I turned 21.

Yes but a Nandos doesn't look as fluffy and appealing on your Instagram pictures does it? Angry

Not angry at you obviously Divgirl

CuriousaboutSamphire · 03/06/2020 12:06

Since when did animals become appropriate birthday presents?! Since some ultra sad fuckers decided to breed tea cup doggies and handbag hounds, permanent puppies.

And even sadder twats decided that their own cute quotient was essential to their lives and said fucked up pups were the cure to losing Yer Likes!

No apologies made to anyone who owns one of these Mini FrankenPups. They are an absolute abomination.

vanillandhoney · 03/06/2020 12:07

Christ.

Why would you import a puppy from bloody Russia? On what planet is that kind of behaviour remotely acceptable?

Puppies like this are puppy farmed and are notorious for having all sorts of issues - even if they're physically healthy, they're highly likely to have socialisation problems.

What is wrong with people? Makes me so angry the way people treat animals like some kind of stuffed toy.

Runtowintowalk · 03/06/2020 12:08

they got it from some instagram page Tiffany Puppies

OP posts:
mencken · 03/06/2020 12:08

and this is why following influencers just encourages scum. Why does anyone want to be 'influenced?'

JacobReesMogadishu · 03/06/2020 12:09

I can’t imagine flying a small puppy halfway around the world will do its health much good. Who was feeding it and keeping it warm during this time? Had it had all it’s inoculations? Or was it stuck in a hold in a crate for hours on end, other dogs in close proximity and passing all sorts of bugs about?

Feel sorry for the poor puppy. If she wanted a Pom I’m sure there’s enough breeders in the U.K. breeding them. Don’t understand why you’d get one from Russia especially as it sounds like a puppy farm. Or is it some world recognised breeder she’s bought it from?

supercilioussal · 03/06/2020 12:10

“Influencer” should not even be a word. It shouldn’t be a thing Angry

Poor puppy, sounds like it was poorly bred and then had the trauma of being transported for miles just so it could be photographed and paraded on Instagram.

JacobReesMogadishu · 03/06/2020 12:11

Tiffany puppies Instagram suggest it’s a Cheshire based breeder...aka puppy farm. Do they import them from Russia?

Elsiebear90 · 03/06/2020 12:12

Why on earth would you import a puppy all the way from Russia? There are perfectly good puppies in the UK, sounds very dodgy to me.

thecognoscenti · 03/06/2020 12:12

Animal imports should be illegal except where pets are being rescued. That poor creature (and its parents no doubt) suffered horribly for instagram likes.

GreyGardens88 · 03/06/2020 12:12

The fact that her boyfriend also bought her a £2,000 Louis Vuitton designer dog carrier to go with it, and set up an insta page for it, tells you everything you need to know about THIS pairs intentions. They don't care about the welfare of dogs, just another designer item to sling over her shoulder.

Zaphodsotherhead · 03/06/2020 12:12

Oh fgs. That wasn't a dog, it was an accessory.

Poor little pup.

JacobReesMogadishu · 03/06/2020 12:13

I looked at their oets4homes page just now. Some very poor examples of badly bred Chihuahuas going for crazy prices. 3.5k for a puppy.
