Influencer Mollie Mae puppy dies after 6 days?

Runtowintowalk · 03/06/2020 11:38

The puppy was a Pomeranian - imported from Russia? Are they known for health problems? So shocked to read the puppy died after only 6 days!! What would be the cause? Underlying health issue?

@Ughmaybenot I looked at the page of one of the other love island ‘celebs’ and she’s in her underwear with her puppy squished on her shoulder. These people shouldn’t be allowed own dogs. It’s a disgrace. And that Tiffany’s puppies should be shut down.

@Sugarplumfairy65 unfortunately the ‘influencer’ put it on her story not as a post so people couldn’t comment and it’ll disappear after 24 hours and the Tiffany puppies puppy farm don’t have comments enabled on their profile (no surprise there!)

That poor dog.

Absolutely agree that it’s awful use pets as props and accessories. They are live animals and not a new handbag. Also makes you wonder if breeding them so much to make them look as cute and fluffy as possible means they are more susceptible to illness?

I don’t think Mollie and Tommy meant badly but they don’t seem to be clued up on puppy farming and the ethics/importance of knowing where your dog comes from. I hope they learn from this. I was also concerned to see them taking it out when puppies aren’t usually meant to be out that soon after they come home?

Scotinengland76 · 03/06/2020 13:35

@Elsiebear90

Why on earth would you import a puppy all the way from Russia? There are perfectly good puppies in the UK, sounds very dodgy to me.
It near impossible to adopt from this country so people go looking elsewhere.
BeijingBikini · 03/06/2020 13:44

I don't think they're clued up on anything, it's a surprise they manage to sit the right way round on the toilet.

Groundhogdayzz · 03/06/2020 13:53

This makes me so sad. There should be much more clamping down on the puppy farms/importer, I know it’s easy to say if people didn’t buy the puppies they’d go out of business, but in reality a lot of people don’t even realise. It’s hard work finding a reputable breeder, in a day and age where money talks, unfortunately people think if they want a puppy they can just go online and order one, like any other commodity. This poor little pup, Poms are tiny and susceptible to low blood sugar, especially if they were taking it out and about, letting it get over excited. May be nothing to do with this, but let the poor thing have a few weeks calm to settle in.

fuckinghellthisshit · 03/06/2020 13:54

It's revolting to buy a dog as an accessory.

What next 'luxury babies' - via surrogacy I suppose. WTF is the matter with some people.

MagnoliaJustice · 03/06/2020 14:00

I used to look at photographs of Paris Hilton, and before her, Geri Halliwell, with their handbag dogs, and feel so sad for the poor animals, being treated as accessories like a pair of earrings or a pretty bangle. I had hoped this trend was over, but obviously not.

VioletNoRegard · 03/06/2020 14:00

This is in no small part due to the vacuous celebrity culture that sees people become famous when they have no talent whatsoever. By promoting the seller and that type of poor inbred dog from a puppy farm, this couple could have “influenced” many other people to buy them. It’s awful.

It’s really not difficult to do your research on the seller/breeder. There are so many red flags about this Tiffany seller. Pumping out loads of puppies, when Poms as a breed have small litters. Photos of bewildered looking puppies in the exact same pens on the Russian and English sites. And that’s before the stories that come up on Google about her.

ErickBroch · 03/06/2020 14:02

@Scotinengland76 rescues just make sure dogs go to suitable homes to avoid the chance of them ending up homeless again. So no, not impossible. Dogs Trust rehomed 11,000 dogs last year - impossible?

JoeExoticsEyebrowRing · 03/06/2020 14:04

Oh, I'm not really a dog person at all but this has really upset me, poor thing Sad

YesIDoLoveCrisps · 03/06/2020 14:05

I don’t like it that these dogs are chosen to fit in with the way the celebs look and that’s all that matters.
My dog is ugly and scruffy Grin
I chose him after spending ages researching the breed and a reputable breeder, met them at least twice and went to their home, asked a million questions and if they hadn’t asked me questions I would have not been happy either.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 03/06/2020 14:07

Why the fuck do people follow this shite?

PolloDePrimavera · 03/06/2020 14:08

I saw her carrying the pup under her arm on a ridiculously hot day in Manchester, a couple of days ago. I wondered about heat stroke. I have a fluffy dog and she's not been out much in the heat.

SarahTancredi · 03/06/2020 14:12

I dont think it matters if they meant badly or not.

Most people dont.

I dont think there are truly that many people who have the mindset of I'm gonna buy a sick deformed puppy for £££ off arseholes who mistreat their pets . If they did then then puppy farms wouldnt have had to get so "innovative" in their attempts to deceive.

They acted with selfishness and arrogance which are not good traits the "I want what I want and I want it now" is about as bad a place as you can get when it comes to acquiring animals.. They could have gone to a rescue or even emailed/called local vets. They could have taken the time to research properly. That may or may not have still resulted in a puppy farm puppy given the lengths that they go to. Maybe then some sympathy could be applies Instead they went with someone who in a split second was shown to be dodgy as hell.

neeting · 03/06/2020 14:12

Importing farmed puppies from Russia is the cruelest thing. How awful.

Haenow · 03/06/2020 14:31

Even if you cannot adopt a dog here and elect to adopt from abroad, it’s irrelevant to this because they chose to buy a designer puppy. Poor little thing. :(

howlatthetrees · 03/06/2020 14:32

That poor dog

randomer · 03/06/2020 14:35

May be the influencer could use her 3 brain cells to influence people not to buy puppies which have come from some poor thing living in total darkness, bred over and over again , then eventually discarded.

ilovesooty · 03/06/2020 14:36

@GreyGardens88

The fact that her boyfriend also bought her a £2,000 Louis Vuitton designer dog carrier to go with it, and set up an insta page for it, tells you everything you need to know about THIS pairs intentions. They don't care about the welfare of dogs, just another designer item to sling over her shoulder.
Agreed. Shallow, immature and without thought or conscience.
HaveYouSeenMyBones · 03/06/2020 14:52

I don’t understand how these people get away with having an actual Instagram page promoting that they’re a puppy farm essentially. Can they not be shut down?

They don't need to be shut down (though I'd like that too). All they need is for people like Molly whatever-her-fucking-name-is not to be willingfully ignorant cunts. For people to treat dogs like living fucking beings not like bloody toys. To understand they are an animal with all it's own instinct, needs, wants and preferences - not a bloody doll to be paraded on instatwats to make someone who is otherwise hollow inside feel like they are cool for a bit

No one involved with shipping a tiny puppy halfway around the world (unless it is in dire need) gives two tiny hoots for the welfare of that animal - or cares about it at all beyond it's ability to attract likes.

Christ this has made me so mad (please excuse the sweary outburst).

This did make me chuckle, though Grin
Jingstohang · 03/06/2020 14:57

My dog isnt fluffy and I havent been stupid enough to have her out in the heat. It's not hard to stay at home with your puppy at the moment.

"Adult weight 1.5kg to 2kg" what the hell?

These people aren't buying a dog, they're buying a toy that they don't have to even bother to wind up.

Poor little thing. Toted around in a bag until its stupid, vacuous owner gets fed up with it, or it starts chewing everything and peeing everywhere or biting because it's untrained, and or, distressed and frustrated, or it dies as a result of poor breeding.
