It’s diabolical that he’s latched onto the sympathy that was shown re- the press outside his house in the last few days and has tried to play on that. But why would the press have been hounding his home in March? And how could there have been members if the public harassing at that time as it was lockdown? People were queuing for Tesco fgs. As if anyone had time for a protest in his street!

He should be sacked. He's a liar and an arrogant arsehole. He just fancied a trip to Durham when he knew there'd be no traffic. He's full of shit.

His wife didn't even have COVID symptoms, so it's all just bullshit.

The barnard castle thing did sound slightly like a man in a and e trying to explain how he fell over with his pants down and ended up with a carrot in his bum... “perfectly innocent explanation, nothing to see here...”

Seriously, what can we do? Twitter and SM
all over it but by tomorrow night it will be old news. Boris has stamped it down and it's 4 years plus to an election.

Tweet Kier Starmer? Email again to MPs?

Just sent this to the Prime Minister. Only had 1000 characters to play with so has to delete all the expletives Grin

I write to raise my concerns with regards to Dominic Cummings.

By supporting him you risk undermining public support for Covid-19 restrictions. You and he appear to be hypocrites, saying one thing and doing another. You appear elitist, where Mr Cummings' interpretation of the guidelines is better than others who, in similar situations chose to follow the spirit and the letter of the guidelines and got on with it as best they could.

Your response shows no humility, no recognition that we are in this together. We are lacking an apology. A real one, not a mealy mouthed "I'm sorry that people are upset about this".

You don't need a trip to Barnard Castle to see how bad this looks, or how weak you appear. It concerns me that you don't care.

I worry that this will prevent public health messaging being heard and taken seriously. And if Mr. Cummings' position is more important to you than this then I am concerned that you do not have the best interests of this country as your priority

I want to see the evidence of the social media harassment and the threats of violence he was experiencing at that time because of his position in relation to the lockdown. Where is that evidence? I don’t believe him.

I said earlier this is Johnson’s poll tax and it won’t go away. If he’s still PM at Christmas I’ll eat my shoes.

SO he's been getting harassment at his house, which is now trebled by the footage of his neighbours shouting at him! Not popular there, then.
But no ecuse - security surely was available.

He claims to have not been tested - I find it hard to believe that a test wasn't available to any of the close contacts in number 10 after Boris was diagnosed.

He didn't discuss with Boris or anyone at number 10 the fact that he was going - surely that one in itself is a sackable offence??

The nonsense about childcare is just that - absolutely incredible that he thinks this is valid when the rest of us have been struggling on valiantly in our own homes. Don't think there were enough questions asked about that in the appearance - why didn't he think of local friends and family as a first resort? Who usually does their childcare and why was there an issue with that?

And then the stuff about affected eyesight so thought I'd go for a test drive...he really doesn't get it.

And if it were true, why was it only a problem at the time they were ill, but not any more?

Someone needs to drive 200 miles or more with their family, to stay at the parents (said parents must have a cottage/garden room/converted garage/granny flat/shed one can stay in)

Then when one arrives at the parents, then one should ring the local police station & report that they have driven 200 miles to their parents as they think they have Covid symptoms & have no one to look after the children.

One should also advise the local police that they will be visiting the nearest sightseeing attraction to make sure that they are capable of driving in case their eyes hurt.

One should make sure that they reiterate with the police that they have special circumstances & that man Dominic Cummings did it & Boris says it's ok.

The local police will surely be thankful & accommodating & offer their assistance if needed.

God it's like an episode of Little Britain mixed with Catherine Tate.
Dominic Vicky Lauren Cummings-Pollard-Cooper.
'Er ahm erm yeah but no but yeah that Duane McAteer said it was ok cos Nicola Sturgeon loves Angela Merkel & Camilla says 'course' & that Robin Hood stole it but blamed Sooty & Sweep. And I never snogged Gary Barlow behind the bike sheds it was Robbie Williams actually cos Cheryl was jealous & said it was actually Boris who didn't wash his hands. So yeah but no but yeah.
Am I bovvered!

I would have accepted an early confession, hands up, apology, but he is essential to the current crisis.

What did they do instead? They lied, gave half truths, concocted a ridulous story and not apologised.

Dominic is replacable, we don't need him and he adds no value.

Well, hats off to the Cummings'.

They're braver than me if their instinct, after one of them vomiting, is to travel 250 miles to stay with family.

Mine is to venture no further than a few feet from my own bathroom.🤔
