I sit in my house shielding my son (for dear knows how long) Flowers But you know that you are doing the right thing. DC's shenanigans don't change that.

We are now the laughing stock of Europe's papers - the cartoons, whilst funny, depict a PM jumping to the tune of an employee this Government don’t even give a damn about the public opinion of the people who can vote them in & out they won’t give a monkeys about humiliating the nation in front of Europe (or the rest of the World). Trump will be understand though bet he can’t wait to give Boris a great big bear hug when they see each other.

If Cummings was so sure that he was doing what any father in his situation would do, why didn't Mary reference where they were? After all, according to them they acted legally and responsibly.
So, why didn't she say that because of no childcare being available, they had decamped to Durham?

Hmmm?
We know the answer to that, don't we?

Derxa... Thankyou for the flowers.. and no his nonsense won’t in any way stop me from protecting my son with every fibre in my being.. but how I would dearly love BJ or infact any other of our elected members of Parliament come and stand in my driveway so I could talk to them out of my window. So that they could have a conversation with myself and my son.
The bottom line is that DC behaviour, subsequent lies and the statements and lies from BJ have put lives at risk.
And the worst bit is they/he doesn’t seem to care. He doesn’t seem to have any decency or moral integrity

In fact I believe that my murderous destructive cat has more sense and decency in his left ear than those lot

^The prime minister missed vital meetings on coronavirus and had barely been seen for weeks, but for Dominic Cummings he’s fought tooth-and-nail, writes Guardian columnist Aditya Chakrabortty.

An extract reads:

Soon will come a point when the memes peter out and the media scrum disperses. What will be left is a historic economic depression and a public realisation that far more people have died in this pandemic than in the Blitz, thanks to an administration that could barely bring itself to care for anyone beyond its own senior members.^

This says it all as far as I'm concerned, and echoes the anger that many feels - hardly seen Boris for weeks, then when his aide is on the ropes, we have two consecutive press briefings headed by him, and many ministers supporting him. Why?

I'm not a parent, but I was disgusted at the implication that Dom's transgression made him "a good parent" and those following the rules, effectively bad ones.

I'm baffled as to how his journey up north helped "stop the spread of the virus" as BoZo said.

I'm appalled that they have rallied around him, yet the Scottish health minister and Neil Ferguson had to resign.

My heart goes out to us all. To every parent trying to do the best for their children, to everyone shielding, to everyone who has lost their job or who is worried about their future. To healthcare workers who have struggled on without the required safety equipment. To teachers, supermarket workers, and delivery drivers who have got up and gone to work every day. And to everyone who has been privileged to have been able to work from home, have access to a garden, and be living in nice conditions, who have all put the rest of their lives on hold.

They have treated us with such contempt. They are a disgrace, and this country is a laughing stock. And we will be the ones paying the price for years to come.

I've noticed the past 2 days that all news reporters are saying things like 'z is doing this to prepare for wider opening- if the government manages to keep a handle on the virus'

It's like they know people have given up and know why. I think they are gently reminding the public that no matter what Bozo and Cummings so we still have to do our part or it's our lives that suffer.

I wonder if Mary ever reads MN?

Yes, the fact that she didn’t mention the Fuhsm trip in her article does say it all, doesn’t it, She could have made it so much more dramatic - “Careering up to Durham in the bleakness of dusk, on eerily empty motorways...,” - er yes, that’s because the rest of the country and their children had the decency to STAY HOME, PROTECT THE NHS, SAVE LIVES.
