To ask whether you’d be able to get hold of drugs if you wanted to?

Just that really. I’m against drugs of any kind and wouldn’t have any idea how to get hold of any even if I wanted to. I wouldn’t have a clue who to contact and didn’t think I knew anyone else who’d have such contacts either.

Came up in conversation with DH last night whilst watching a programme about drug trafficking that he knows a number of people in the area who are able to get hold of such things (cocaine, MDMA etc) and even deliver to our door! I’m shocked. DH says that most people have the contacts to get hold of drugs if they really wanted to, which I’m not sure I believe. Am I really this naive?!

I don't take drugs so wouldn't but I know who to reach out to if I wanted some. like a pp said I'd get it delivered to the door quicker than a takeaway.

Illegal drugs? Easy.
Prescription or GP appointment? Much more difficult.

I can't find yeast anywhere; I know this is a horrible time and a serious subject but tbh it tickles me that it is currently easier to get hold of weed than yeast

Proof (if it were needed) that the availability or otherwise of anything has nothing to do with their legality or otherwise.

Yep, would probably take a few calls, (eg dealer of a friend of a friend), but could certainly get anything if I wanted to.

Yes, of course; easily. Huge city, drugs are everywhere, if you want them 🤷🏽‍♀️

You probably don't realise but someone you know or work with will have a number they could pass on.

Definately... I have no interest but I know there are a few dealers around here and I'm sure if I asked the right people they could put me in contact.

Don’t do it myself but I doubt locals are having difficulty as walking the dog in the park early evening it stinks of weed and also in our small garden I can smell it - not sure if it’s the large family next door or upstairs flat so in answer to your q I’d say no people are not finding it difficult to access drugs .

Not a clue. I’ve met drug users and drug dealers in the past but years ago, there’s no way I’d ever approach any of them to seek out drugs . I wouldn’t have a clue where to get drugs locally at all and I’ve never bought drugs so I’m as naive as you.

I haven't done drugs for 20ish years and I've moved areas since. I don't know who the local drug dealers are, but I can think of ways that I could find out or people I could ask, should the fancy take me!

Wouldn't have a clue. Don't have friends who take drugs, I don;t live in a "drug deal happening on every corner" type of area. Maybe because 5 people in our street are in the police.

I suppose I could go to Govan or hang around Maryhill Road looking hopeful. But I'd probably just be mugged.

I've seen on Twitter some enterprising young souls buying Deliveroo/Ubereats bags and just cycling everywhere to make their drop offs. Surprised the food companies haven't stamped that out!

I assume so if I wanted to - I'm not naïve and am well aware there will be dealers around. But I don't actually know of anyone I could get drugs from. I've no interest in recreational drugs snd have never taken any.

Yes - I wouldn't trust the dealers living near me (I wouldn't want to be involved with them) but I could make a few phone calls and get whatever I wanted.
