To ask whether you’d be able to get hold of drugs if you wanted to?

Just that really. I’m against drugs of any kind and wouldn’t have any idea how to get hold of any even if I wanted to. I wouldn’t have a clue who to contact and didn’t think I knew anyone else who’d have such contacts either.

Came up in conversation with DH last night whilst watching a programme about drug trafficking that he knows a number of people in the area who are able to get hold of such things (cocaine, MDMA etc) and even deliver to our door! I’m shocked. DH says that most people have the contacts to get hold of drugs if they really wanted to, which I’m not sure I believe. Am I really this naive?!

Probably. Local drug dealer parks across the road from us or even over our drive to to his deals. To be fair he stopped blocking our drive when I mentioned to one of his customers that he was covered by our CCTV there.

DH has a mate that smokes a lot of weed, I’m guessing he’d be able to point us in the right direction if we wanted to do the same, not that we so.

I don’t really know about anything else, can’t think of anyone in our immediate circle who are regular users of other drugs - that we know of anyway, but I’m sure it wouldn’t take too much asking around to find someone who knows someone. Never interested me even in my youth and definitely not now, but I’ve never had the impression it’s particularly hard to find either.

the british transport police being all smug about how much they've picked up cos of lockdown. I can tell you back from my days chuckin dark and white (ive served my time) they wont be scraping the surface. I couldnt fucking believe how much of that stuff they shift in even an hour- an evenlope full of little bits worth around £300 gone in an hour.

and the poor bastards who deliver it are being coerced. Its was the scariest thing ive ever done. You're garunteed to either get arrested or worse robbed by desperate junkies. It was obvious street dealing behind people's houses/alleyways to save the middleman hassle. They call him and he sends you out to do the scary shit, he never has to be seen and gets all the money.

I could go and ask our drug addled neighbours. I wouldn't as I despise illegal drug taking. People see it as harmless but they need to open their eyes to the distress it does cause.

I am always astounded how the majority of mumsnet would be calling 101 over the tiniest of things but woe betide you if you said you wanted to complain about drug taking or dealing.

I have genuinely no idea how I would go about getting drugs.

Especially at the moment with no bars or pubs/clubs open. And even then, I don't think I'd exactly walk into a local bar and say "does anyone have any cannabis/crystal meth I can buy". So absolutely zero idea.

I don't know anyone who does drugs (although in my last employed role one of my colleagues reckoned our boss did).

Not sure about H, but I could definitely get coke, weed, hash, mdma, acid, base etc within the hour.

Yep, I know the address of a dealer. I've never bought drugs myself but I've smoked weed when friends have it.

This went through my mind the other day actually. Thinking about it I can think of 2-3 ways to get weed. Anything stronger, haven't a clue 🤷🏼‍♀️. I never have done drugs and don't plan on it either!

Yes, all I have to do is shout out to my neighbour. He's in the back garden right now, getting stoned and listening to the radio. I think it should all be decriminalised.

Easy, where I live is awash with drugs. There’s a dealer living over the road. I don’t want any drugs though.

I think I could and I've never taken any recreational drugs in my entire life. I can think of two separate contacts going by what DSs have said about a couple of their peers! (They are adults!)

Also, it’s easy to go hunting if you know what you’re doing. Once it took me precisely 2 minutes to buy some pot at a festival.

I could go and pick up in 5 minutes if i wanted to. Thankfully it's not something that's ever interested me.

Even if you didn't know anyone with contacts, you could just get some delivered via the dark web. It's really not hard.

Yes I could just run up to our neighbour upstairs. Lockdown means he doesn’t go out delivering anymore so 20 times a day cars pull up outside my window and he comes running out to give them whatever they’ve ordered
