To ask whether you’d be able to get hold of drugs if you wanted to?

Just that really. I’m against drugs of any kind and wouldn’t have any idea how to get hold of any even if I wanted to. I wouldn’t have a clue who to contact and didn’t think I knew anyone else who’d have such contacts either.

Came up in conversation with DH last night whilst watching a programme about drug trafficking that he knows a number of people in the area who are able to get hold of such things (cocaine, MDMA etc) and even deliver to our door! I’m shocked. DH says that most people have the contacts to get hold of drugs if they really wanted to, which I’m not sure I believe. Am I really this naive?!

God, where I live isn't the best area of the city but it sounds great compared to some of these places!

I have a friend who is lovely who has a little bit of a shady past. I'm certain I could text her and be pointed in the right direction in under ten minutes.

I wouldn't, because I'm enough of a bellend at the best of times, but I don't think many people would really struggle if they intended to find drugs. It's easier than you'd guess.

I could fairly easily, various people in my friendship group smoke weed and they are sensible hard working people or use it for chronic pain management and others just recreationally. I don't hide the fact that I occasionally smoke it with people I feel comfortable with such as long term acquaintances and I have been surprised when they reveal they either grow it or use it themselves, the growing part is a surprise as their occupation often means they have no reason to iyswim?

Other drugs I could easily get, weed dealer sells other stuff but I have never asked as I am not interested.

I would guess you just look for the areas with the sudden high crime. That indicates the cuckooed house which is where the sales are, because the police can't do anything.

They are to be found on quiet roads in respectable areas, as well as in the rough bits. These scum are everywhere.

You are that naive.
You just use the same person all the time, and if you are into drugs you won't just be doing it in isolation, chances are some of your social circle are too.
Why are you so against drugs anyway? The illegality? people enjoying themselves?

I suppose I could if I wanted to. I have thought about it for the future in case I am in need of serious pain killers and they're not on offer from the doctors. Obviously, I hope that need doesn't arise and I'm on no meds now. It's not a bad idea to have a supply of antibiotics too (eg 500mg Amoxicillin). Therefore, my answer is, "Yes", I would be able to get my hands on drugs but I don't 'do' recreational drugs, it would only be for purely medicinal purposes if I wasn't prescribed adequately.

I can! But because a drug dealer keeps texting me. It’s a wrong number situation but they keep changing the number and the I get updates as they deliveries in. Rather like the emails I get from the flower market. Unlike the flower market the drug dealer had switched to cash only now but does home deliveries. Which I feel is not covid safe but I maybe they use PPE.

Anyway I was enjoying it until the middle of the night threatening ones.

I block the numbers when they get abusive but they obviously have “my” number saved. Sometimes I have to google what they are saying though.

It’s not ‘naive’ to not know the ins and outs of how to get hold of a drug dealer ffs.

I'm completely against drug taking, never done it, never would. But I know who to ask if I wonted some. I know of several people who have contacts. I don't personally know anyone who deals, but I know people who know people.

What do you need op I can sort you out

Haha yes I could quite easily but partly due to a mispent youth and my friendship group.
I also have a special friend I met on tinder who comes over for special adult sleepovers sometimes who happens to be a coke dealer but I didnt know this for months!

Lockdown has made it against the law to sell illegal drugs..

I used kik to chat to a friend of mine, no idea why we still did when there was WhatsApp and messenger but we use WhatsApp now but last year I noticed an option called 'find groups' and I wrote the city I live in, in the search bar and a load of groups came up such as 'doggers', 'gf swap' and 'drugs market' 😮. Told my DH and he was like yeah, dodgy people use kik! I don't use it now 😂

Nope, never done drugs and I don't know anyone well who does them either. I had an old boss who did cocaine but I think he'd laugh himself silly if I ever asked him about where to get it from, because it's so obvious that I have no clue about taking them locally I smell weed everywhere, but you can't just go up to random people and ask who their supplier is.

Could get within the hour, mostly cocaine. Weed even simpler, few messages to some people we loosely know.

I asked someone (genuinely out of interest to how dealers were getting on) if the deals had been effected since lockdown, been informed its harder to get delivered after certain times, however open to collection.

I wouldn’t have a clue so I’m in the naive group to and I’m very happy I am. I hate drugs and if I see dealers In my area I’ll notify the police.

I never even tried a cigarette never mind drugs, I have never even seen drugs up front as such...but yes I would still know where/how to source them (joys of a small town 🤣)

No clue here. Apart from one friend I haven't known anyone who takes drugs for a long time.

In my last two cities I knew how to get drugs but don't have much idea where I'd get them from now. I would start by asking the teenagers who congregate in the park where they get their weed from I guess.

I wouldn't have a clue although I am aware of a house near my late DM's home where her neighbours say drugs are being dealt. I suppose, if I did want any, I'd go there.

I don't take any drugs unless you count legal drugs like alcohol and no one in my close circle of friends do either.

I could definitely get hold of weed. I can think of at least 4 or 5 ways just off the top of my head.

I could potentially get mdma or cocaine or other "party drugs" but it would mean getting in touch with friends (people who Iv met but have never been friends with) of people I'm no longer friends with so it might be difficult.

I know what areas to get hold of hard drugs but not from anyone I actually know. I could also potentially get hold of numbers of dealers if I needed regular supplies etc but again I couldn't just call a friend for the numbers.

Like some previous posters, I knew around 30 years ago where to get dope, speed and magic mushrooms. No idea anymore. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Have never even seen ecstasy!
