To ask whether you’d be able to get hold of drugs if you wanted to?

Just that really. I’m against drugs of any kind and wouldn’t have any idea how to get hold of any even if I wanted to. I wouldn’t have a clue who to contact and didn’t think I knew anyone else who’d have such contacts either.

Came up in conversation with DH last night whilst watching a programme about drug trafficking that he knows a number of people in the area who are able to get hold of such things (cocaine, MDMA etc) and even deliver to our door! I’m shocked. DH says that most people have the contacts to get hold of drugs if they really wanted to, which I’m not sure I believe. Am I really this naive?!

I don't think you're naive. I wouldn't know who to ask either. Maybe the vicar?

People used to say that if you wanted to get hold of drugs you just had to sit in Vanbrugh college bar for a bit. I sat in Vanbrugh bar twice a week for four years and was never once offered drugs. I think I radiate innocence (apparently someone who passed me in my third-year hall of residence thought "ah, she looks like a sweet innocent first-year Christian" - my friend said "I told him he was half-right" )

No, I couldn’t get hold of any if I wanted to. I don’t agree with drugs or the people that use them and I would never willingly associate with anyone who did them.

Up peoples arses I presume, Summerloaf, or on tankers. TBF a bit of heroin goes a long way but I have no idea how they get the vast amounts of coke in to serve both the crack and powder markets. Its mindblowing. When you actually see it you realise how much its completely coming through untouched.

I'd be able to get some weed, next door grow it in their greenhouse, so I could probably even get some without them knowing about it lol.

I wouldn't know where to get anything else, but I could talk to the people next door and I'm sure they'd be able to put me in contact with the people I need.

Oh, actually, if I was physically at work I could get whatever I wanted. There's a takeaway down the road from work where everyone knows you order a delivery and Bob will sell you "extras" if you ask in the right way. Of course, the police also know about Bob and his extras, but he doesn't seem to be a big enough operation for them to shut him down right now, I think they're waiting to catch his suppliers before they put the lot of them in prison (he's been "away" many times previously)

I could very easily get hold of a bit of weed if I was desperate to but nothing else.

When I was a student the only things I wouldn't have been able to get were the hard drugs like heroin. Had to actively refuse cocaine a few times

I would be able to get my hands on E’s and weed very easily, no problem.

Here in Italy the stations are where the druggies congregate. I guess if I hung around “with intent” for long enough I’d be offered something.
My neighbour downstairs has an “unusual”
cigarette every morning out of his balcony. I’ve learned to shut the window.
And DS now has the knowledge to pick up a few OTC medicines that would take the edge off things.
But why bother when I have a well stocked drinks cabinet?

I wouldn't have a clue but DH could get his hands on anything from some of his dodgier clients at work, if he wanted to risk his job, which he doesn't 😂 He also always says he knows someone for everything with his clients - if anyone needed a hit man or to get in when they'd locked themselves out! Disclaimer: he wouldn't ever use these people, he just knows people through work who could do or lay their hands on anything 😂

I know many dealers, but I have only smoked weed once. I can't even count the number of houses I know that are trap houses/grow houses. There are people who seek drugs online, and even promote offers via text. I really do not believe for one second than you couldn't get hold of drugs if you wanted. There will be hundreds of dealers in a mile radius from you.

If you wanted drugs, in all seriousness you could stand outside your local shop and ask. They will have whatever you want at your front door in 7 minutes.

Pretty much word for word what @Summerofloaf said. I don’t mix in those circles and, despite living somewhere where drug use is common/visible I wouldn’t have a clue who to contact.

Probably, I've never tried, I wouldn't know what to say, but I'd know who to ask.
