Neighbours and my WIFI

Hey!
Straight to point I got a new neighbour in my block of flat a few months ago and she asked for my wifi password to connect her console to so they could watch netflix.. i thought why not.. one other thing connected to it wont harm and she has just moved in.. it's her first home she hasn't had chance to set up her own yet. She then gets a new tv in the last few weeks and connects to my wifi but she has also connected her phone and her mates phone to it as well as they are picking up our google speakers on the network her mate joked they should play songs through my sons one in his room from their phones. So I have no idea how to change the password but would I be unreasonable to turn it off every night at 8PM? Considering we are in lockdown and she cant get her own during this time as they will need to come and connect it up. Previous tenant in that flat never had wifi either.

Judy, thedoglovesme is referring to the fact that according to her last messages, the OP is hiding in her flat ignoring text messages and doorbell rings rather than just telling the neighbour that she has changed the password and won't be sharing it in the future.

slashlover · 27/04/2020 12:02

Yes, it was @Scarlettlmc who posted telling the OP to change the password when it was done days ago.

Scarlettlmc · 27/04/2020 12:06

@slashlover Either way, I meant it more as in she never had to feel bad for doing it in the first place. Missed the update, feel free to ignore my post

Nikhedonia · 27/04/2020 12:13

OP, why are you ignoring the message? Why not just reply literally anything with one of the suggestions made on the thread and move on with your life?

Yes, she's a CF but you've allowed her to be. You should have just changed the password and messaged her there and then and told her to arrange her own WIFI. She doesn't know that you are annoyed and are cutting off her supply, so just tell her 🤦🏼‍♀️

Slattery · 27/04/2020 12:13

Will we ever get an update?

cstaff · 27/04/2020 12:39

Not only is the OP ignoring her neighbour, she is now ignoring us here on mn. I cannae believe it Grin

thejollygargler · 27/04/2020 12:45

she is now ignoring us here on mn

Maybe her internet is down Grin

donthaveaname · 27/04/2020 15:59

Lol!

Atleastthedoglovesme · 27/04/2020 16:45

I have RTFT Longwhisker and realised she changed the password ages ago - I was referring to the ongoing messages from neighbour that OP is now ignoring (and also avoiding opening the door when neighbour knocks etc.)....I can't believe the ongoing avoidance and inability to just say no to the neighbour.

Mlou32 · 28/04/2020 10:09

@weregoingonanadventure are you ok? I'm just reading through all these messages and yours are standing out like a sore thumb. You seem to have latched on to one poster (@mummy2017) and are going full throttle on her, like a dog with a bone. You are coming across as very confrontational and argumentative. I've not quite seen anyone so aggressive on mumsnet.

Maybe time to put the phone down and get on with real life.

ProfChaos · 28/04/2020 19:36

No update OP?

icelollycraving · 29/04/2020 21:22

Any opdate? Grin

Hannah021 · 30/04/2020 04:32

Legend has it the OP is still braless and cant open the door, nor text

ItsLateHumpty · 30/04/2020 05:08

Rooter implodes, taking all nearby wifi with it, creating an inverse Big Bang and now OP and CF neighbour and the block of flats has disappeared up the firmament.

The End.

KTB19 · 30/04/2020 05:28

Im wondering if the OP is so nervous that she can't stand up to her neighbour, let alone open the door to her, could it be that the neighbour has bullied her into getting the new password and the OP dare not come on here to update us.

Saw this photo and it put me in mind of this thread:

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

CircleofWillis · 02/05/2020 09:42

Hi OP. How are you? You don't have to update us but please let us know you haven't been murdered for your new WiFi password.

stiffchain · 02/05/2020 10:31

This thread should be moved to classics. Just lost an hour reading through this.

LorenzoStDubois · 02/05/2020 11:10
Shock
Nikhedonia · 02/05/2020 16:00

I think if the OP came back and explained what happened next it would be worth going in Classics. As it stands, the only classic thing about the thread is that the OP has reeled people in and then not returned. So many threads go this way.

TriangularRatbag · 30/05/2020 19:51

What happened in the end?
