Intensive care at the crossroads of life and death, 3 days later suited and booted and giving speeches. Fishy or what?

Doesn't look like a dickhead. Confused

Boris and the Virus
NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 14/04/2020 17:29

@Fatasfooook

His crap approach to the pandemic had resulted in deaths in the tens of thousands, numbers still rising,
In the tens of thousands? You didn't score high in your Maths exam did you?

Mittens030869 · 14/04/2020 17:30

@Pelleas I agree. If there was lying it was that they were playing it down. It ceased to be minor when one week's isolation wasn't enough for him to recover.

titchy · 14/04/2020 17:36

Unless you agree with the "sheeple" OP you are vilified, it's so funny seeing and hearing them believe everything they're told

It's not blindly believing everything I'm told - I just happen to be rather more knowledgable about how politics and media relations work.

And I'm a dyed in the wool socialist FFS!

pilates · 14/04/2020 17:47

Eh Boris’s dog is a dickhead, what? 🤣

Oh dear!

Pelleas · 14/04/2020 17:49

You know the debate is going downhill when a dog gets called a dickhead! Grin

Mlou32 · 14/04/2020 17:49

What would he have to gain from faking an illness?

peepholepringle · 14/04/2020 17:50

@Pelleas 🤣

UK deaths 12,107 - that is in the tens of thousands

They're usually a sign the poster's argument has completely run out of steam

Nobody's actually answering or even trying to discuss though, that's the whole point!
I got asked what question was going unanswered, so I asked again as they missed it.
People are still ignoring them Confused Grin
If people are just going to stick their tin hats on and not actually say anything but "yeah, fake" "yeah, sheeple" and "dickhead dog" when they're faced with questions that makes them do a think, what else are we supposed to do lol

Fatasfooook · 14/04/2020 17:56

And for the record, I have no opinion on whether or not his dog is a dickhead 😂

OP posts:
MedSchoolRat · 14/04/2020 17:57

Oh FFS.
Right after lockdown started I got asked to help forecast local demand for inpatient & critical care beds.
if you want a scandal - PHE & NHSE did precious F-all to help local hospital trusts do that forecasting. This is very disappointing. We forecast by seat of our pants.

I've gathered lots of data about what the pathways look like to help inform the local model.
BJ's pathway looks exactly average for a survivor who has been hospitalised.
There is literally nothing surprising about what happened to him. If anything, it could be too suspiciously bog standard.

www.google.com/amp/s/www.thesun.co.uk/news/11198138/coronavirus-symptoms-attack-day-by-day-fever-breathlessness/amp/

Says it all really. If you also follow the progress of poster on the Lungs threads where they go from being unwell to having severe breathing difficulties, the Prime Minister's symptoms followed the usual pattern.

ALongHardWinter · 14/04/2020 18:09

I am pleased that he has recovered, much as I dislike him and his politics. But,I have to admit that what I found rather odd, were the reports that

  1. He had been moved into intensive care as 'a precaution',i.e. in case he needed to put on a ventilator. I heard a doctor on the radio the next day say 'nobody is put into intensive care as 'a precaution,in case they need to be put on a ventilator, not even the PM. You are either in IC on a ventilator,or you're not put there in the first place'.
  2. The reports that after just 2 days in IC,he was 'sitting up in bed and engaging in conversation' (this was whilst he was still in IC). Surely if you are capable of 'sitting up and engaging in conversation',you really shouldn't be taking up a bed in IC? Just saying......

@Devlesko

Unless you agree with the "sheeple" OP you are vilified, it's so funny seeing and hearing them believe everything they're told.

I've never met anyone who uses the word sheeple who isn't a thoroughly unpleasant person.

NotEverythingIsBlackandwhite · 14/04/2020 18:11

You obviously failed English too. Tens is plural. To refer to tens of thousands the amount would need to be at least 20,000.

You seem to have a limited understanding of many things so I'm not expecting you to understand factual information.

Devlesko · 14/04/2020 18:18

cyber

Oh, such wit and wisdom, I'm in awe.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 14/04/2020 18:21

Let’s assume there are many people within the NHS who are not overly fond of Boris Johnson. There may even be one or two who are politically active in other political parties. Not all of those people are medical staff.

Yet not one person, no matter how angry they might feel about the Government’s handling of the epidemic, has called Boris out on this one. Nobody at all, even anonymously, has suggested that he wasn’t in ITU with COVID19.

It would be such a political gift to his opponents if he was caught lying about it. There is no way on earth they would be able to stop it leaking out if he was lying.

TSSDNCOP · 14/04/2020 18:24

Are you a Thursday Night Clapper OP? If so, how do you square your respect of the NHS with accusing the team at St Thomas's of colluding in a lie with regard to the Prime Minister's (who they're likely not all that keen on) illness. An illness they're naturally taking deathly seriously. Do you honestly think those people will have colluded in some cover up that might, what?, make the PM a more like one of the Covid sufferers?

eveoha · 14/04/2020 18:28

Because everything about him is fake except his cupidity

Buster72 · 14/04/2020 18:29

Boris and The Virus......Sounds like a gig I would have gone to in my youth.

Pelleas · 14/04/2020 18:36

Could one of the posters who supports the theory please answer the question that's been posed by several people -

Why would Boris fake a severe Coronavirus attack?

Fatasfooook · 14/04/2020 18:50

Why would Boris fake a severe Coronavirus attack?

To drum up sympathy and get his criticisers to pay tributes and make positive noises in his direction. To distract from the shocking death toll. To manipulate the public into thinking he is some sort of hero

OP posts:
myrtleWilson · 14/04/2020 18:51

Blimey, Boris has gone from being a fake to the god of desire in under 200 MN posts

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 14/04/2020 18:55

But why would the NHS staff go along with it?
