One of our neighbours has come up with a great idea... all of us singing something together after Clapping for Carers.

Hugely looking forward to it and love to know what you would most enjoy singing with your neighbours? Guessing something that is uplifting, appeals to all generations and where most people know most of the words....the Beatles keep springing to mind!

"Cornwall My Home".

MilkTwoSugarsThanks · 14/04/2020 13:01

Are you talking about all your neighbours? Or just some of you inflicting this horror on the others?

RozHuntleysStump · 14/04/2020 13:01

Oh my Christ.

PineappleDanish · 14/04/2020 13:01

Absolutely nothing. This is a HORRENDOUS, try-hard, "look at me I'm SO community minded" attempt to go viral on social media.

Just because that family in Kent went viral singing Les Mis doesn't mean you should try too.

Thisismytimetoshine · 14/04/2020 13:02

God almighty! Why?!

QuacksInTheDark · 14/04/2020 13:02

Barf.

WellTidy · 14/04/2020 13:02

Think of your best karaoke tunes.

Islands in the Stream should do it.

4'33 by John Cage. One that everyone knows

GoatsDoRome · 14/04/2020 13:03

The Sound of Silence. Literally. (Possibly followed by the Disturbed cover on noise cancelling headphones)

Newyearnewarse · 14/04/2020 13:03

Honestly I would rather stay out of any communal singing.

I don't clap either.

DearTeddyRobinson · 14/04/2020 13:04

Please don't do this. Please.

1066vegan · 14/04/2020 13:04

I'd hate to sing anything with my neighbours. The more I see things like this on local news, the more I realise that I'm an antisocial old misery.

MarieQueenofScots · 14/04/2020 13:04

I’m so sorry you’ve got competitive virtue-signallers.

Just ignore them OP, the idea will die a death and all will be well.

2ndStar · 14/04/2020 13:05

I’d rather not. Knock yourself out but respect people who get the horrors about such things. Not just the it’s not for me, brigade, social anxiety sufferers exist too.

Mapril · 14/04/2020 13:06

George Michael - Faith.

Specifically Keith across the back doing the got togot togot ta have faith! bit.

Jeezoh · 14/04/2020 13:06

Sweet Caroline. There’s even a version doing the rounds that references washing your hands :-)

I think tonight Mathew I will be singing Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin, followed by Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath.

DdraigGoch · 14/04/2020 13:11

Another vote for 4'33 by John Cage. If you haven't already heard it, have a listen. It's a tune that all of your neighbours will love.

rosiethehen · 14/04/2020 13:12

The Russian National Anthem.

stakeholderwizz · 14/04/2020 13:14

Jesus wept if this become a thing I'm not sure I will be able to cringe more, clapping is bad enough!

JasonPollack · 14/04/2020 13:15

Perfect

CherryBakebadly · 14/04/2020 13:16

JUST NO.

Zinniasout · 14/04/2020 13:17

My idea of hell, but if you're doing it, maybe something upbeat and public spirited like 'Stand By Me'?

Iamthewombat · 14/04/2020 13:18

The Russian National Anthem.

HAHAHAHA
