AIBU to ask what you would most enjoy singing with your neighbours??

One of our neighbours has come up with a great idea... all of us singing something together after Clapping for Carers.

Hugely looking forward to it and love to know what you would most enjoy singing with your neighbours? Guessing something that is uplifting, appeals to all generations and where most people know most of the words....the Beatles keep springing to mind!

Please don't. Week 1 was meaningful, week 3 was too much. It's like the 11,235 episode of Last Of The Summer Wine. 11,234 too many.

Nothing, absolutely nothing as it sounds like my idea of hell.

Our resident show off 'entertainer' seems to have decided that Sunday afternoon is his slot to torture 'entertain' the masses by belting out big band classics for a couple of hours complete with Mike, keyboard and speaker which can be heard from streets away.

This pandemic seems to have brought out the need for the local knobheads people to impose themselves on others, in the hope for social media likes.

2 weeks in a row now, I just want to torch his fucking speaker so I don't have to tolerate it next week

And yes I'm a miserable antisocial bugger, but I just can't stand inconsiderate people deciding that everyone needs to jolly up

Some streets should have their whatsapp and facebook groups confiscated forcibly until they learn that this type of shite will not be tolerated.

ITV have now deemed Thursdays NHS day and it just makes me want to vom in my mouth

What a horrible fucking idea. Clapping is fine. Singing or dancing is not. I get super super bad secondary embarrassment and this would make me want to die.

This is a really funny thread with some great suggestions but I am starting to feel a bit sorry for the poor OP who was probably hoping for a bit more of a sympathetic reaction.

Most enjoy it when they stop.

Have had a neighbour out all afternoon with a microphone crooning. Drives me nuts. Why do people think we want to listen to the? I’ve never heard someone murder ‘Country Roads’ like it.

It’s even worse than listening to people screaming kids all day.

It's at times like these that I'm glad my neighbours are as cynical as me. The collective embarrassment of a neighbourhood singsong would send me into a catatonic state.

Fascinating.... yup, I love ideas like this.. so would be very happy to go along with it...No idea so many would think it so horrendous!!!!
