Pot Noodle - who’s being unreasonable?

So there’s a hot debate going on in my house over the correct way to eat a pot noodle. I believe that you just eat until the “noodles” are gone, discarding the juice at the bottom.

Dh however believes in then drinking it - sort of like a soup.

Aibu to think he’s a savage Wink

if you don't like the juice, then don't put as much water in!! I like a thicker consistency for mine so either use less water, or add a bit of flour. I love it on toast or with Doritos crushed in, partner thinks i'm gross, but i'm pregnant atm so i can use that excuse!

WhineWineWhineWineWhineWine · 31/03/2020 18:28

Broth??! It's noodle juice

No, it’s pot noodle flavour shot!

briebuiltthiscity · 31/03/2020 18:30

Wow what a response! I should have added the caveat that we are of course both disgraceful for eating one. It appears I’m unreasonable so may give it a go next time.

Chiyo666 · 31/03/2020 18:33

I wait for it to cool then down the whole thing like a pint.

LynseyLou1982 · 31/03/2020 18:34

Yeah you eat the noodles then drink what's left

gingerbeerandlemonade · 31/03/2020 18:59

Slice of bread and butter for the juice. I do the bread first so the rest if nice and concentrated.

TroysMammy · 31/03/2020 19:45

FAQs correct Grin

PositiveLife · 31/03/2020 19:52

I'm with you, the thought of drinking the juice turns my stomach.

However, supermarket own brand supernoodles are better than pot noodle and don't have as much juice Wink

flippityflobberty · 31/03/2020 19:54

I even add less water so that the juice at the bottom is thicker.... it's the best bit! (And mopping up with bread is essential)

SinglePringle · 31/03/2020 19:56

Christ, do they still make / sell these?!

briebuiltthiscity · 31/03/2020 21:27

@OlaEliza Dear God - like... how ... what... egg!?

Eggs in noodles are very popular in many Asian countries where noodles are a staple. Cheap protein source.

The snobbery about pot noodles is insane. They're probably nutritionally similar to instant ramen and that's an exotic foreign delicacy.

LargeGinOnTap · 31/03/2020 21:42

Yanbu the pot noddle juice is grim. The noodles are yummy though

BubblyBarbara · 31/03/2020 21:45

I use less water to avoid this problem entirely
