I love grapefruit hand soap Blush

ilikebooksandplants · 30/03/2020 17:13

You are being v. unreasonable OP! Grapefruit hand soap sounds lovely.

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 17:14

I love grapefruit as a hand soap and bath fragrance. I also like it in perfumes for summer. ❤️

DanielRicciardosSmile · 30/03/2020 17:14

I also love grapefruit soap.

ElloElloVera · 30/03/2020 17:16

I’m glad we didn’t scrap the trampoline last winter. It’s come in bloody handy against boredom and for some exercise this week for DD.

GoodDogBellaBoo · 30/03/2020 17:40

@ElloElloVera not in the UK, but here doctor’s have advised parents not to let their children use trampolines, as there simply aren’t enough doctor’s around to deal with broken bones right now.

ArseholesOnToast · 30/03/2020 17:41

So glad I didn’t clear out the kitchen cupboards and ditch stuff past its best before date. 1kg bag of rice 2014 and 500g bag of orzo 2016, nothing wrong with them (I’ve checked for weevils and suchlike).

Thisisworsethananticpated · 30/03/2020 17:41

Grin I know exactly what you mean

TinnedPearsForPudding · 30/03/2020 17:42

I'm grateful for all the random half filled hand creams I've found at the back of my cupboard. My skin in like cardboard with all this washing

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 17:42

We never throw out dry goods and non-perishables. Which has stood us in good stead.

Fimofriend · 30/03/2020 17:42

So glad we kept the couscous our DS had to buy for cooking at school. I still don't like it, but it will be good for two more meals.

Cheerbear23 · 30/03/2020 17:44

Same!! I Have 10 mini bath foams, I never take a bath but I’m planning on using for shower gel or even to dilute with water into Empty liquid soap containers.
Also got lots of body lotions that I’m wasn’t keen on and was going to kondo them, but didn’t. I’m starting to use them now. Will probably last me until 2021! Grin

TeenPlusTwenties · 30/03/2020 17:47

Fimo I'll know we're desperate for food when we use up the remains of couscous bought for school food tech. Grin

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 30/03/2020 17:48

I have two drawers of smelly soaps, body lotions, perfumes, etc and four large gift boxes of stuff that clients has gifted me for my birthday and Christmas. Since I’m usually the busy I forget to brush my hair, I think they thought I needed pampering. Now that my business is temporarily (I hope) closed, I’ve never smelled so nice.

ForestYeti · 30/03/2020 17:49

Grateful for the fact I’m so disorganised in my cupboards that I’ve found 4 bags of flour three quarters full as I kept buying more (before cv) thinking I had none

StopGo · 30/03/2020 17:49

@Fimofriend I lightly sauté finally chopped spring onions, celery, red pepper (or whatever is loitering in the salad draw, add to the couscous. Then I add veg or chicken stock cube dissolved in boiling water along with a small amount of dried fruit. Cover and leave until all absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve. Seems to give it more flavour. Hope that helps.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 30/03/2020 17:51

Also got lots of body lotions that I’m wasn’t keen on and was going to kondo them, but didn’t.

I’m now picturing loads of Mumsnetters scrapping the last of the hand cream out of a tube and cursing the day they ever listened to Kondo. 😁

BruceAndNosh · 30/03/2020 17:52

Yep, the posh Clarins hand cream I was saving for best is being slathered on, and the Dove gift set now in downstairs cloakroom

Fcukthisshit · 30/03/2020 17:52

Haha I was just thinking exactly this last night. I had packed them all up for the charity shop but DH missed that particular bag when he took everything else.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 30/03/2020 17:54

Ooh I love couscous! Mix in some chopped veg and a few spices and it'll be lovely!

(Off to root through wardrobe for random smelly Christmas gifts...)

redcarbluecar · 30/03/2020 17:54

I'm glad I always take the little bottles of hotel shampoo and have accumulated a massive pile of them over the years.

Reginabambina · 30/03/2020 17:54

@GoodDogBellaBoo guess I’d better rip out my radiators and house walls. I’ve never had a child injure themselves on a trampoline but inane and inescapable household features are a recipe for fractures and head wounds in our house.

Thighmageddon · 30/03/2020 17:55

I'm glad we've stored all the free smellies dh gets from business trips staying in hotels.

Dd 21 may moan about the ranges we have of dinky smellies but it's that or smell dear. We are not unnecessarily going shopping for stuff we don't need.

Ninkanink · 30/03/2020 17:58

I’m doing couscous today!

Roasting up the last few bits of veg that needed using - baby plum tomatoes, half a red chilli, yellow pepper, half a red onion, chopped courgette from the freezer. Doused in olive oil and ras el hanout, plus garlic granules and some chilli flakes.

Leftover roast lamb will be sliced and warmed through in veg stock with a spoonful of harissa, and the stock will then be used for the couscous.

Mix everything together at the end, add extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice and parsley. 👍👍

Thighmageddon · 30/03/2020 18:01

Oh and I am also glad I didn't take a pile of Breton tops to the charity top. I'm furloughed and not really fancying wear blouses around the house that I'm having to clean myself .

I was going to buy new for this year, somehow new tops seem totally unnecessary now.m
