I only properly realised when I looked at the recycling. I think we've had a drink every night this week. Prosecco on a weeknight? Yep.
Anyone else found this?

No. Don't even have any in the house! Only drink about twice a year (I'm very boring) but earlier on was thinking I really fancy a drink... didn't get one though. Maybe I will tomorrow Grin

Shmithecat2 · 26/03/2020 22:58

Yep. But I'm stuck living with my darling DM until this is all over. If I don't drink, I'll end up living in the boot of my car 😫🔫

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 26/03/2020 22:58

Yep, don't usually drink at all. Drinking most nights at the moment. Turns out I hate being at home.

jackstini · 26/03/2020 22:58

Yes
And I was doing well with dry Jan and moderating until now

Am still better that last year but drinking about 4/5 x week instead of 2/3

zsazsajuju · 26/03/2020 22:59

Yes

Leflic · 26/03/2020 22:59

Yes.

I've found my people! 😂

glueandstick · 26/03/2020 23:03

Lunch time g&t is becoming a thing.

GrandTheftWalrus · 26/03/2020 23:03

I'll be having a vodka or 12 tomorrow night. Got a litre chilling.

squeekums · 26/03/2020 23:05

Yep, alcohol shops in Aus now have bottle limits
Generous limits but still, its been limited

thenightsky · 26/03/2020 23:05

I'm down to 2 bottles of white in the fridge and a half bottle of vodka. I'm feeling twitchy, I'll not lie. Can't face the thought of going to a supermarket though.

JaceLancs · 26/03/2020 23:06

Yep I’m mainlining most Slimming world friendly spirits

JaceLancs · 26/03/2020 23:08

I work from home till 7 then have a drink whilst I’m cooking dinner
It just deteriorates from then........
Don’t want to put weight back on though so will have to cut back soon

B0bbin · 26/03/2020 23:09

So glad I'm not alone! Thanks you lot. I think it must be a side effect of all this massive change and non- stop c- related newsSad. Enjoying right nowSmile but can't keep this up too long... maybe the empty wine shelves is a blessing in disguise...? Nah.Grin

I rarely drink and don’t have alcohol in the house as a general rule, I thought about buying some then made a conscious choice not to for fear that by the end of this I would be up a seriously overweight alcoholic!

bellsbuss · 26/03/2020 23:14

And me , can normally go a week or 2 but it's been every night since last Friday and today we had a drink in the afternoon Blush

CucumberFacePot · 26/03/2020 23:19

Yep.

I have depleted my emergency whisky supply a little sooner than I planned!

springydaff · 26/03/2020 23:20

Me too 😕

Gotta get a grip. I could get addicted to a shoelace (addictive sort) so I better watch out.

It's all or nothing with me though. Sigh.

VeryQuaintIrene · 26/03/2020 23:21

Actually no, because my partner and I made a pledge to massively cut down for Lent and we are proud of our willpower. But Easter cannot come too soon...

Namelesswonder · 26/03/2020 23:24

Oh yes, drinking every night just now (just 1 or 2 glasses) but normally only drink at weekends.

Sunshinestars · 26/03/2020 23:25

I had 2 drinks, 2 nights in a row (so 4 drinks in total). Not much. But it's the week. I never drink during the week but this week is an odd one, to say the least.

At the time, it was "oh go on/I deserve it/treat yourself" but then I didn't feel great for it or about it. It's not about the volume, which is minimal obviously. I guess I just don't want it to become a habit, or give in to the "I deserve it" mentality. So I've made a conscious decision that same as usual, I'll save it just for a weekend night.

LaurieMarlow · 26/03/2020 23:26

Yup

I was a bit peeved at Drinkaware (Ireland) for issuing warnings about it. Yeah I get that it’s their job, but there’s very little to give people a lift at the moment.

I’ve decided to limit it to 3 days a week though.

Ishihtzuknot · 26/03/2020 23:27

Every single night, AA will make a fortune out of me when this is all over (light hearted)

Catrescue1971 · 26/03/2020 23:28

I wouldn't want to myself as I saw a you tube video where Dr John said it was important to drink fluids - but not alcoholic fluids lol - because being hydrated is supposed to make your mucous more liquid. So easier to cough up. So I think that alcohol might dry you up. Probably overthinking it.
