To not do party bags?

And just hand out cake wrapped in napkins? Party Saturday and totally forgot about sodding party bags. They are a waste of time and money anyway. Would you panic buy something or not?

Yes.
How are old are the kids?

NailsNeedDoing · 05/03/2020 20:46

Personally, I’d panic buy something.

icelollycraving · 05/03/2020 20:46

Saying that my party bags are immense 🤣
Get on amazon prime.
Parents hate party bags, kids love them.

tenlittlecygnets · 05/03/2020 20:46

Good, no, hand out cake in napkins!

ParkheadParadise · 05/03/2020 20:47

Yes, I would buy them.

FlowerAndBloom · 05/03/2020 20:47

I just do sweet cones now....come over all environmentally guilty at all the plastic tat in a party bag lol

Didntwanttochangemyname · 05/03/2020 20:47

Party bags are the work of the devil and totally unnecessary.

Booberella9 · 05/03/2020 20:48

Never knew they were a thing so just gave cake. I know better now. Still wouldn't give them.

formerbabe · 05/03/2020 20:48

My dc always loudly ask where the party bags are at the end...whilst I try to shush them and tell them not to be so rude

You need to panic buy something!

Heismyopendoor · 05/03/2020 20:48

I did sweet cones a few years ago instead of party bags and a couple of kids asked me where the party bags were? Whilst holding the sweetie cone I just gave them 😂

44PumpLane · 05/03/2020 20:49

As the parent of 3 year old twins I love parties without party bags... But mine are too young to expect them.

Went to a party recently that gave out tubes of sweets (like you get in your stocking at Christmas). Provably coat them a pound each and kids loved them.

londonloves · 05/03/2020 20:49

I didn't do party bags for my boy's 2nd birthday party, just cake. No one died. Older kids maybe there is peer pressure?!

CoffeeAndDryShampoo · 05/03/2020 20:49

Do you have The Works near you? They do 10 kids books for £10. Cheaper and more long lasting than party bag plastic.

JennysTailor · 05/03/2020 20:49

Those sweet cones go down well ime. We went to one party and instead of party bags small packets of sweets were handed out. Anything edible is always welcomed.

Foghead · 05/03/2020 20:50

How old are the kids? Give some sweets out with the cake.
Or panic buy some pens and stickers.

Catapillarsruletheworld · 05/03/2020 20:50

Sweet cone or piece of cake and a balloon? That should keep the happy enough.

I’m glad the days of part bags are behind me! X

Dandelion1993 · 05/03/2020 20:50

I don't do party bags. They get a tha k you card and slice of cake.

trilbydoll · 05/03/2020 20:50

Everyone will stare at you and not leave. Get a multi pack of books from The Works.

LittleCabbage · 05/03/2020 20:50

I can't bear unpacking plastic party bags full of plastic tat, which goes straight in the bin. Get a chocolate bar each or tube of sweets to give out with the cake.... job done.

WinterCat · 05/03/2020 20:51

You might have some very upset children.

I’d bulk buy a load of books and Amazon Prime a few things. It doesn’t need to be much.

Chickychoccyegg · 05/03/2020 20:51

what age? if school age I'd be buying something, even if its just the tubes/bags of sweets for £1 each.

MissMudskipper · 05/03/2020 20:52

Without a doubt I'd be panicking buying them as we speak Grin I couldn't handle giving them just cake but that's just me. Depending on how old they are you could get away with the cake however.

Kittywampus · 05/03/2020 20:52

How old are the kids? I did paper bags with a book and slice of cake for my son's 4th birthday and everyone seemed happy.

ForraM · 05/03/2020 20:52

I just do sweet cones now....come over all environmentally guilty at all the plastic tat in a party bag lol

What do you wrap the sweet cones in?

notanotherjigsawpiece · 05/03/2020 20:53

Is it too early to give out Easter eggs as a party bag substitute? You can get small ones for £1 each
