So I know this has probably been done before but wanted to see what everyone likes again. They don’t necessarily have to be secrets, but maybe things that you wouldn’t let people in RL know except for maybe your dh/partner.

I have an extensive list but will just give a few of my favourites.

Beef & tomato pot noodle sandwich, salt and vinegar crisps with mayonnaise on white bread, ritz crackers with just piccalilli, babybel with piccalilli, salt and vinegar crisps with a little bit of mayonnaise on each individual crisp, and a salt, pepper, jalapeño pepper with mayonnaise sandwich. I do have a lot more things but couldn’t possibly list them all, and that’s just from the top of my head. I don’t eat these things all the time obviously.

Lots of things straight from the tin. More nights than I'll ever admit to I have just grabbed a few tins from the cupboard at random and called it dinner.

I always have a jar of hotdogs, some gherkins, ketchup and American mustard in the house which makes a brilliant mid night snack. I call it "hot dog salad"

Nogoodnickname · 26/02/2020 22:52

@PrincessHoneysuckle I love dips with my pizza but never tried this. I do love American mustard. Actually we have an m&s pizza in the fridge to be used up and American mustard that was bought a few days ago for hot dogs. This will be our treat for tomorrow night Grin. Thank you in advance Smile

The original curry pot noodle. Or sweet and sour pot noodle. Think that comes from these being an annual summer holiday treat as a child. I also like peanut butter and burger relish sandwiches or mushy peas on pancakes.

Happyadventurer · 26/02/2020 22:55

Bread and dripping, you know the stuff left in the tin after you’ve cooked a roast. OMG! Nectar! If I ever cook steak I sneakily soak bread in the juice that is left over. It’s almost better than the steak itself. Oooh, ooh ooh, and left over curry on toast. If that’s not a thing it should be.
I am so drooling right now.
We’re all friends here, right? My secrets is safe with you, yes?

Happyadventurer · 26/02/2020 22:56

I realise I have just outed myself if any of my family are on here 🤣🤣🤣

Cyborgfeminist · 26/02/2020 22:56

Fish finger sandwich with mayo on white bread
Beans straight from the tin
Pickled onions on their own - the stronger the better
My friend invented this post-pub snack: crack an egg into the middle of a naan bread, sprinkle grated cheese on top and then grill it. It’s delish

Notimeforaname · 26/02/2020 22:58

Popcorn in a folded slice of toast... Loads of butter. Divine.

mrsBtheparker · 26/02/2020 23:00

Crumpets with LOTS of butter. Have just had two

Only 2? Love them, I let them go cool so that then butter doesn't disappear and become messy.
I love Ginsters Peppered steak slices with lashings of red cabbage, which is my healthy off-set.

Blankscreen · 26/02/2020 23:00

Pickled onions from the jar

Breakfast sausage from sainsburys. Straight out the pack.its lovely. My nan used to buy it. Now my kids love it too.

pinklillie · 26/02/2020 23:01

Bolognaise and cheese toasties, potato waffles in a sandwich made with toast with cheese..bit of a theme!

Wereallsquare · 26/02/2020 23:03

Gigantic bowl of warm milk with Frosted Flakes. Soggy deliciousness.

KeyboardCat · 26/02/2020 23:12

Marmite and crisp sandwich, mmmm......

Nogoodnickname · 26/02/2020 23:13

@AnotherMurkyDay I love this. I remember a few times asking my mum when younger what was for dinner,if there was nothing much in and she had to use what was in the cupboards and fridge, she would say we’re having a concoction. I was too young to realise at the time that it was anything that was in the cupboards and fridge.

Cake or gingerbread batter, not to cook but just to eat raw.
Philadelphia and lemon curd sandwiches
Bovril and honey sandwiches

user127819 · 26/02/2020 23:16

Processed "plastic" cheese slices with crusty white bread rolls.

Icepinkeskimo · 26/02/2020 23:17

Please forgive me, I can't help myself I need help.

I get a packet of ready salted plain crisps open them pour approx a dessert spoon of salad cream in the bag, then shake them all together.

It's dirty, it's sticky, it's crunchy and salty and I love it!

username1724 · 26/02/2020 23:17

Cupcakecafe · 26/02/2020 23:21

When I was a child I used to pull the chocolate coating off mini rolls, and squirt strawberry frube yoghurt on it. Heavenly.

Mother87 · 26/02/2020 23:23

Blissfullife - OmG that actually sounds DIVINEGrin any carbs in it??🤣🤣

Nogoodnickname · 26/02/2020 23:28

@whymewhyme beef and tomato are most definitely THE BEST pot noodles. I had a pot with two sachets of sauce once, best day ever for my sandwiches 😋😂
