To not eat this monstrosity

Leftover chicken, some leftover carrot and broccoli, day old mash potato, cabbage, rice, sausages all mixed together into a stodgy lump with cheese on top

I'm not a fussy eater at all but the combination of the leftover foods is making me want to vomit it looks like dog food

I don't think mash should be used again the next day, why anyway when potatoes are like £1.50

He said that eggs last 3 weeks as well I'm sure it's more like a week to 10 days

The more you describe it, the worse it sounds! I bet it smells like trumps.

Oysterbabe · 24/02/2020 20:48

He's right about eggs, they last ages. He's wrong that abomination is an edible meal though.

OdeToDiazepam · 24/02/2020 20:51

I tried a teeny bit of the lovely chicken that I roasted yesterday and it was coated in that stodgy grey stuff it tasted vaguely of sausage fat and cabbage

Well I’m a compulsive over-eater and I would not touch that.
This has to be the definitive response as addictions are so low-bar!

ItsAllTheDramaMickIJustLoveIt · 24/02/2020 20:55

My ex-mil once fed ex’s dog giblets from the Christmas turkey. The contents of your plate looks exactly the texture and colour of what the poor bitch vomited on the sheepskin rug not long after 🤢

Clevererthanyou · 24/02/2020 20:55

Envy sausage fat, that’s me off my Parmesan chicken.

BadgertheBodger · 24/02/2020 20:57

Omg Shock I may print your picture off and stick it to the fridge because it’s put me right off my biscuits. Is he ok hun?

OdeToDiazepam · 24/02/2020 20:57

I'm not sure if he's ok Confused

SecretNutellaFix · 24/02/2020 20:59

See, the leftover veg and mash could have been a delicious bubble and squeak which would have been lovely with the leftover chicken.
That looks terrible,

MrsFrankDrebin · 24/02/2020 20:59

To be fair, you can freeze left over mash for homemade fish cakes... But that's where any reason with what you've described ends! 😔

feelingverylazytoday · 24/02/2020 20:59

No I wouldn't eat this, OP. I'd rather go without, or just have some toast.
Couldn't eat any of that, apart from leftover mash fried up with an egg on top.

AudacityOfHope · 24/02/2020 21:01

Sweet Jesus 😮

Why does he want you dead!?

HighNetGirth · 24/02/2020 21:02

It looks like loft insulation that has been left in a ditch for a month.

Why on earth did he mix so many things together?

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 24/02/2020 21:03

Honestly if you hadn't posted a pic I would have guessed troll thread Shock

I just....

Actually, I'm going to borrow a phrase from the Relationship boards: When someone tells you who they are - listen. Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 24/02/2020 21:05

Also loving the fact that it seems to be on a quite nice posh plate Grin

steff13 · 24/02/2020 21:07

That sounds horrible. But to be fair, I'm not one who likes a lot of foods mixed together.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 24/02/2020 21:08

Final question - was he standing on the top rung of a step-ladder when he plated it up?

NurseButtercup · 24/02/2020 21:10

Bleurgh....
send him to the spare room he's going to be farting loud, smelly farts tonight...

Ninkanink · 24/02/2020 21:11

Leftover mash can be used to make all manner of tasty things (bubble and squeak and all variations on that theme, cottage or shepherd’s pie, fish pie, fish cakes, etc etc) so you are being unreasonable there...

But this, well, this is something else!

JennysTailor · 24/02/2020 21:13

Urgh.

Post a photo of your lovely Dominos instead!

TopShelf · 24/02/2020 21:14

Don't say you married him?

Lindy2 · 24/02/2020 21:19

Oh dear.

Has he actually eaten a portion of that? I'd be a bit worried about the potential after effects....

GinandGingerBeer · 24/02/2020 21:22

It's like something you'd feed to pigs. Bleugh.........Or something Mil would offer.
First time I went for Sunday Dinner, she said, ' oh! I made a quiche yesterday, would you like a slice with it?" Err no thanks, I'll pass on the quiche, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding combo thanks. EnvyEnvyEnvy

OdeToDiazepam · 24/02/2020 21:22

Yes but it's leftover mash that HE made ( I cooked the rest yesterday) which is kind of like American style as I think of it

Potatoes cut into slices and boiled for 20 mins after a fork goes through nicely and then pulverised with tons of milk and butter and pepper and herbs until it has a paste quality to it
