Leftover chicken, some leftover carrot and broccoli, day old mash potato, cabbage, rice, sausages all mixed together into a stodgy lump with cheese on top

I'm not a fussy eater at all but the combination of the leftover foods is making me want to vomit it looks like dog food

It looks similar to something I cleaned off NY floor this morning after the dog had an upset stomach. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of that so we can compare.

That’s just a ridiculous waste of food. Mixing it all together to render it inedible is pointless as now it will end up in the bin, whereas if you’d just reheated the bits you’d wanted you wouldn’t be wasting money ordering takeaway.

Oh no it won't be wasted. He's one of these men who's religious about food waste. I asked him if I should feed it to the dog or if he'll get another week out of the mountain that's left he said he'll eat it tomorrow

That sounds grim. I'm frugal - but I'd bin it. You could have had sausage fried rice with broccoli stirred through. Or chicken/sausage with bubble and squeak or potato cakes. But all in together - yuck.

One of my favourite left over meals is roast lamb. Left over lamb, veges, gravy - dice up and mix together. Put into puff pastry triangles, or if there isn't enough pastry for triangles, a casserole dish with pastry top. So good! You could even do little pies in a pie maker. Left over roast and gravy makes the best pies.
