I just can't stop thinking about it. Has really knocked me sideways. Been sort of just floating around feeling weird about it all weekend.

Anyone else??

The fact that she has died is terribly sad but surely these are different issues?

She was arrested, charged and awaiting trial for an alleged offense.

She took.her own life.

I'm.not sure that the second event means that the first event should be erased from history or minimised or excused in some way should it?

Maybe this should open up a wider discussion about how people alleged to have committed a crime are treated by the.press. should names and details be reported before a trial has been conducted? Should the accused retain anonymity until after the trial? Some of the more salacious stories should definitely be suppressed, not just in this case but in lots of.other cases too but would that really have changed the outcome.here? If her fear was what was going to be heard in court, particularly relating to the body cam footage, then what could be changed going forward? Trials are held in public usually so evidence isn't going to be secret is it even if the defendant is upset or embarrassed by it.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor

I agree entirely with your post.

Some of the things that I've seen written both on here and on social media over the past week has really shocked me. Victim blaming, blaming the police and the CPS, excusing abuse and justifying violence because of drink, mental illness or provocation and all I can think is how must her ex be feeling and how must current victims be feeling - are they afraid that people will blame them or hold them responsible if their abuser kills themselves? These things aren't occuring in a vacuum are they? You can't make excuses for CF or blame her ex and expect other people in similar situations to not think your words apply to them also.

Frownette · 22/02/2020 12:18

Her ex may not have made the mental transition yet into thinking his safety is important

Frownette · 22/02/2020 12:18

Sorry meant boyfriend

unique1986 · 22/02/2020 12:28

So she basically admitted on that unearthed statement that which was her blood and very sad and personal.
So she slit her wrists? Another suicide attempt.
Her issues all seem bf related.
A few years ago she decided to be single for a year.. if only she stayed single. Well not dating guys that are likely to cheat eventually.
Its interesting she was very friendly to a short lived Ex Danny Capriani.
Theres deffo stuff the public dont know regarding her relationships.

nevernotstruggling · 22/02/2020 12:29

No not about CF but I was broken by the death of robin williams so yes I understand x

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/02/2020 12:31

Let's not blame cheating boyfriends for her actions, she was responsible for her actions. This could well have resulted in suicide even if she's been single.

Is Amal Clooney really a beard? Why??

TheMaskedTulip · 22/02/2020 16:28

I don’t believe that CF was a beard. What utter nonsense. She had form for dating young men of quite a significant age gap.

HeIenaDove · 22/02/2020 16:52

Yes but i dont see anyone describing her as stunning and brave!
