Hay...

Listening to the wind just starting to pick up here in Suffolk.

Is it bad where you are?

Windy and rain here in Somerset, wonder when i make shift fence stays up.

vodkaredbullgirl · 15/02/2020 13:24

Oh and we had a power cut for 30 mins, thought my electric meter had run out of money.

dippyeggsandham · 15/02/2020 14:00

Very windy and grey in Kidderminster

Ginfordinner · 15/02/2020 14:03

Very wet and windy here in South Yorkshire today.

Frownette · 15/02/2020 14:07

Sort of, it's not windy but quite wet.

PhilCornwall1 · 15/02/2020 14:13

70mph gust or two down here. Just a windy day to be honest.

Jux · 15/02/2020 14:31

Very wet and windy here in east Devon. The rain is not yet 'epic' and nor is the wind. There are villages nearby which we know will be cut off already, both by road and communications.

Our tv is having a lot of difficulty finding a signal already, but there will be many much worse off than us.

justasking111 · 15/02/2020 17:41

Bad here now in N Wales, huge gusts, windows shaking, heavy rain. No power cuts yet fingers crossed.

Governoress86 · 15/02/2020 17:43

Very wet and windy here in the west midlands.....my DH has had to put extra bungie ties on his motorbike cover to stop it coming off. Already had a neighbour's bin hit our cars aswell. Glad I'm on annual leave all week. Will not be going out til Monday 😊

Bluewavescrashing · 15/02/2020 21:13

Something is banging around outside and I cannot face investigating what it is. Am so tired.

TheGreatWave · 15/02/2020 21:38

Wet and windy on Teesside. At least one fence panel is not surviving. It is fairly rotten, but had survived when we lost the other panels last year.

DecemberSnow · 15/02/2020 21:58

Wind starting to die down this evening

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 15/02/2020 22:00

Yep, sounds like someone trying to kick the patio door in.

NoWordForFluffy · 15/02/2020 22:44

Our wind is picking up here. It might be a wild-ish night ahead.

PenelopePissedstop · 15/02/2020 22:57

Cornwall : flights cancelled earlier, now wind picking up again in the last hour. Blowing a proper hoolie !

knowmenclature · 15/02/2020 23:03

I hate the unpredictable weather. There are trees down, water sitting everywhere not draining away, the wind is howling and I hate it 😬

How long will it go on for, any idea? I looked up the forecast and it seemed to suggest through till Monday!

The actual storm is still centred on Iceland, we're only getting the consequent isobars 😬

Waitingfordennis · 16/02/2020 00:47

Yes until Monday

Femail · 16/02/2020 05:53

Wind has moved on from somerset

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 16/02/2020 06:04

Blowing an absolute hooley and lashing rain here in Cumbria.

Bubblemonkey · 16/02/2020 07:41

The wind can fuck off. Dennis is an inconsiderate prick who’s woke me up twice this weekend 😤😤

Spacerader · 16/02/2020 07:46

Dennis has caused carnage here in the south wales valleys.there are floods every where, many roads are impassable and I was chasing my tool shed roof down the street at around midnight.

adaline · 16/02/2020 08:21

@thatmustbenigelwiththebrie waves another Cumbrian here!

Tons of flooding this morning from what I've read on local news - we're okay on the coast as where we are is quite protected but it's pretty bad Ambleside/Kendal way and also further north.

Yehdivvy · 16/02/2020 09:18

Advice please. I have train tickets booked for Manchester front Euston. Would you go? I've checked the train operator website & it says delays & cancellations likely. I'm tempted to stay home & rebook for a few days time.

Youngatheart00 · 16/02/2020 09:59

I would go with the advice of the train operator. If they’re advising against travel, and allow you to rebook for no charge, and your need to travel isn’t absolutely urgent, I would stay put today! Not worth getting stuck, and remember seeing the scenes from Euston last week. I also think there is tube disruption today so getting to Euston might be a hassle in itself?

Orangeblossom78 · 16/02/2020 10:54

We travelled through the storm on an overnight ferry to France. It was quite rocky and looked out to a rough sea this morning. Very little sleep exciting for DC on the top bunks 🙄 now in France and sunny! Thankfully
