Hay...

Listening to the wind just starting to pick up here in Suffolk.

Is it bad where you are?

Still got heavy winds in the North East. Cold too, but the promised snow hasn't arrived.

RightestPersonOnMN · 11/02/2020 09:50

I’m forecast snow today but no signs of it yet. The Accuweather app keeps pushing the window back by 10mins at a time. The wind has died down a lot though, thank goodness and we have largely blue skies. Nippy though

doublebarrellednurse · 11/02/2020 10:01

Beautiful sunshine in derby today but freezing

doublebarrellednurse · 11/02/2020 10:10

Spoke too soon...snowing again!

RightestPersonOnMN · 11/02/2020 11:47

Just walked the dog. Very sunny out there but cold, there is still some wind but it’s just like a windy day. Still no snow but we did have a short hail shower. The river is showing the aftermath of a lot of rainfall and has flooded severely.

Looking out of the window now and the sky has suddenly gone very white, so we may well be getting our snowfall soon.

Good site here tells you what the winds doing and other factors, search for your place in the top left hand corner.

Haven't had anything here, at all. It's a bit colder today, that's all. I'm out in the sticks, proper carrot crunching country, in the Fens. Locally known as having thick lips and webbed feet x we usually miss most of any bad weather though. It has been known that we get properly snowed in, but that hasn't happened for a few years. We're very lucky, mostly.

Gilead · 13/02/2020 07:56

Heavy snow now, couple of inches out there.

GinnyStrupac · 13/02/2020 09:12

Next stop, Dennis The Menace.

RightestPersonOnMN · 13/02/2020 09:18

Bloody Storm Dennis coming next, hopefully he’s not as fierce.

GinnyStrupac · 13/02/2020 09:57

I have a long journey to make at the weekend with a car full so I am feeling mildly concerned!

cologne4711 · 13/02/2020 14:36

Me too Ginny - last weekend I was feeling relieved that the storm was last weekend...and then they mentioned Storm Dennis, and the forecast seems to be getting progressively worse.

NoWordForFluffy · 13/02/2020 17:21

Yes, I'm travelling too. I'm less than impressed with the forecast!

Hereinthemidlands · 13/02/2020 19:32

The rain looks far worse with Dennis but the wind not quite as bad but still pretty grim Confused

justasking111 · 13/02/2020 19:57

Mudslide in North Wales if they get the rain predicted it will be serious.

SirVixofVixHall · 13/02/2020 20:31

Where in North Wales ?

SirVixofVixHall · 13/02/2020 22:08

Thanks for the link, that looks horrendous. At least everyone is safe.

GinnyStrupac · 14/02/2020 15:49

There is a Storm Dennis thread in Weather now for @cologne4711 and all others in need of links and information.

Frownette · 14/02/2020 15:53

South - it's wet and miserable but not much else going on

cologne4711 · 14/02/2020 15:58

Thanks Ginny!

Orangeblossom78 · 14/02/2020 16:01

We are going on an overnight ferry to France tomorrow night what joy!

Was kind of hoping it might be cancelled so would be the Eurotunnel instead. Only booked it as the DC like a cabin (sigh)

I guess at least we can lie down

RightestPersonOnMN · 14/02/2020 19:17

Best of luck to this travelling over the weekend

No rain here in the SW yet, I’m going to nip the dog out whilst the going’s good.

GinnyStrupac · 15/02/2020 12:55

You're welcome, cologne!

And thank you, Rightest - I think we're going to need it...

Be careful out there, people.

redwoodmazza · 15/02/2020 13:11

Dorset here. Very windy and wet. Just laid the patio heater on the ground - it's already blown over 3 times this year and the top is now looking hexagonal... Angry
