I wonder.... when archie starts school, how is the 6 monthly commute between countries going to work? Will D&D get fined for taking him out during term time?! I can't see them putting him into boarding school if they are changing things from the norm. I can see them living in Canada and just using frogmore as a holiday home. That way, she doesn't need a British passport.

I was just reporting what it says in the press. I'm not defending H&M at all. I think they're attention-seeking idiots who've been really bloody disrespectful to the Queen. I'd be happy for them to be stripped of their titles, funds, home and security and told to fuck off go it alone and have all the privacy they want. I just wish we could then gag the press about them.

After having read today's papers I'm now annoyed that a source reported that DOS had no intention of coming back to the UK after the Christmas holidays. Ok, she popped back for 2-3 days while H dropped his bombshell but is now back in Canada.

I think they have insulted the Queen all because they wanted to be central to the future RF plans...and they were going to be anyway. They were annoyed that the Queen had a picture taken with only her next 3 heirs. They were annoyed because they weren't in a photo on the table where the Queen did her Christmas speech. They think they are rolled out when it suits the RF and then constrained on other occasions and it is reported that Harry believes other members of the RF are jealous of their popularity. That doesn't strike me as people who want to not be in the public eye - quite the opposite.

These people are wealthy. The royal family is from generations of inherited wealth - it is the definition of a royal family. Sarah Ferguson wasn't a royal. Harry is - he is from two very wealthy families.

He is never going to be poor or close to poor or even struggling with poor or even worry about anything but sufficient security for his family.

And by the way how will that work for the UK? No security so the brother of the future king is kidnapped?? Imagine that shit show.

Of course the UK needs to provide security for people born into a risky life that could be problematic for the UK government. It is like the US providing secret service for presidents/ children/wives.

Just seen a couple of recent photos of Harry. I say this with genuine concern but in both images he looks like the lights are on but no one is home....his mental health must be through the floor at the moment. 😔

I never mentioned security in my post but maybe your response is just a general response to what has gone before.

I also never implied that I thought they were going to starve or be short of money. What I was saying is that to make money out of being a celebrity you actually need people to like you. Fergie wasn't much liked and had about as much financial sense as Homer Simpson. The celebrities Meghan likes to hang out with are notoriously fickle and if the Royal titles are taken away will drop her like a hot brick.

Yes, Harry has breeding and is genuinely Royal and also has money. Although what he inherited from Queen Mum and Diana possibly wouldn't keep him forever if he didn't have any other source of income. But don't forget that as their own website points out, the Sovereign Grant that H&M are prepared to forego only represents 5% of their income. The other 95% comes from the Duchy of Cornwall. Prince Charles gives William and Harry roughly equal shares as regards the allocation he makes to his offspring (at least, that's what their accounts would appear to suggest). But the Duchy of Cornwall is administered by the current heir to the Throne. And if Queenie pops her clogs anytime soon then the new Prince of Wales and distributor of the Duchy of Cornwall largesse will become William. Who I understand is not exactly 100% happy about the current situation. So that particularly gravy train could come to a halt rather abruptly. Just sayin'

I said 3 years too. I reckon it could manage to limp on for 18 months before he's out on his ear. I hope the RF will be magnanimous and take him back into the fold when it happens though. Poor Harry.
