Don’t live in the UK but cannot imagine how you dredge up such bile against people you know practically nothing about. Harry is realising that there is no way he wants Meghan to endure what Diana did - or Archie to grow up as he himself did. I’d say Kate and Wills are green with envy! Wish them all the luck in the world!

He is a minor royal, she is a minor soap actress-the US equivalent of someone in Coronation Street. To my eye, neither are particularly good looking and, although they are crafty and self serving, they don't seem to have much real brains either.

Can’t believe how people have turned on them. How many of you would stand by and watch your spouse be ripped to shreds in the press day after day after day. Everyone has a breaking point.

Since I'm Republican, the more 'senior royals' step down, the better, frankly.
But on a human level I'm glad they're getting out of the toxicity. Racism has clearly fanned the flames of the anti-Meghan sentiment. On top of which, Harry has had to re-live watching his mother being pursued by the press by his wife going through it and Meghan has been betrayed and embarrassed by her father and his family.
Any of those would destroy many people's mental health and make them decide to raise their own children out of the fray. Good on them for putting their kid first.

I think Harry is totally in love with her - well why not, she is stunningly beautiful, has the most gorgeous speaking voice, and seems to be generally a nice person.

The big BUT is that she clearly didnt really get what she married into - the duty, the protocol, the boredom...

So given that he is smitten, and she's clearly said this 'fuck this for a skylark' he is doing what she wants (I think). I only hope they remain happy, not a burden on the public purse, and not an embarassement.

Who can blame them. The target of such vitriol from the gutter press and the public with nothing better to do. I wish them well.

I've seen this coming for ages. Meghan has been treated appallingly by the press, Harry too. I think he's taken one look at his little boy and it's opened up a whole heap of unprocessed grief about his mother and the intrusion the press have made into his life. He can see history repeating itself and he's getting the heck out of dodge. I can hardly blame the man. He wants his wife and his child to be safe, we can all understand that.

Poor Harry obviously isn't very bright.She hunted him down like the prize plonker he obviously is and has basically blew smoke up his ass ever since.They'll turn into caricatures appearing on American TV and do the royal family huge damage. I can't say I'm ever felt sorry for the Queen until now.

I think the majority of Brits wanted to welcome Meghan. They don’t care about her background. They wanted to see Harry happily married. I think their agenda is very different now. The press are used one minute and disliked the next. They use social media but don’t like it when social media bites back. They want a fantasy rich world. Hi Elton !!!! Hi Beyoncé! All their friends will pay for their lifestyle. It’s the Duke and Duchess of Windsor all over again! Poor Harry. He’s now even become rude and uncaring about the Queen. She’s trying to step back whilst these two do nothing for half the year plus!

@Comberbird yes! Also nailed it, although I would add to the gripe that she travels to S Africa - sans valuable jewellery - so weird and rude. And then undermines the worthy causes she travelled to promote with her "pity me in my hard life" documentary. So tone deaf. Does she have any idea the juxtaposition of her circumstances to the women she met in Khayelitsha slums? And the documentary eclipsed everything she had done regarding VAW. Dire.

I havent read this thread, but just want to say good for them. They are a lovely couple and too good for the Royal family. William is not a family man and all those sick photo shoots cooking with Mary fool no one.
