In opposition to the brilliantly funny 'ick' thread, would love to know what single random thing made you drop your knickers and think phwoooaarrrrrr?

Mine with now DH was the first time we met. A group of people were playing rounders in the park and the tennis ball came flying towards us and DH just effortlessly caught it, one handed, and without missing a beat carried on chatting to me. I very nearly jumped him there and then.

inappropriatefemale having a man around doesn’t guarantee a regular shag 😂 I wish it did!!

Vanhi · 08/01/2020 21:34

His singing.
The way he wakes up at 6am and pulls me closer for a hug.
The fact he makes my life better and easier.
Makes a great cup of tea too Grin

Inappropriatefemale · 08/01/2020 23:49

@ThanksSoMuch well this is trueGrin

Notsure94 · 09/01/2020 00:00

His hawkish little face. Blue eyes and cheekbones and beautiful smile. Absolutely adorable bit of an overbite. His competence. Nothing phases him. His sensitivity. Strength. His exceptional humour.

Aneley · 09/01/2020 00:35

His sense of humor and banter. How smart and witty he is. His eyes - unique colour that I can only compare to the stormy seas. Our first kiss - my knees still go weak and shaky when I remember it and its been 8y.

Aneley · 09/01/2020 00:35

*humour (hate not being able to edit!)

His etchings Grin. Not really, but close enough. We met at an art exhibition, and the man whose show it was had borrowed his portfolio for some reason. I was introduced to him as somebody who might like to work with me (I was a life model) and I remember even shaking his hand. I looked through his work and was blown away by how incredibly talented he was. It wasn't until we were left alone though and both went outside for a smoke that I really looked at him properly and we both relaxed. I was so impressed by his quiet confidence (but complete lack of arrogance or pretension), his humour, and the way that he really listened.

I think we must have worked our way through a fair few cigarettes, but by the time our mutual acquaintances came to look for us "lovebirds" and drag us back to the party, we had completely fallen for each other. We've never been apart since, and that was 15 years ago.

Eyes that reach deep into your soul.

cocodomingo · 09/01/2020 21:44

I know the look and it excites me but also makes me shy. I can understand why your friend feels unsettled. Its powerful.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 09/01/2020 21:58

A fiercely sharp brain, brilliant wit and hugs that literally made my knees tremble.

PatriciaBateman · 09/01/2020 23:34

Our baby (several months old) was sleeping on the sofa and suddenly turned over and rolled off.

DH was a couple of seats away on another sofa, but had instantly dived onto his knees with his arms outstretched and caught baby before he hit the floor.

I felt a profound spike of love and arousal, an actual warm flush to the respective regions instantly!
It was something about the way he had moved so impossibly lightning fast (so impressive!), and had done so almost instinctively, without thought for himself, to protect our baby.

CatInTheDaytime · 10/01/2020 10:17

Slightly misaligned, wolfish teeth - my first love had these and for some reason it was the ultimate phwoar. Fancied him for other reasons too but that was the killer. There's a random dad at school who has similar and it makes me go weak at the knees.

Men in big boots and woolly jumpers - PHWOAR

And a man who I had a fling with, who stopped mid-conversation, pushed me against a wall (not violently) and snogged my face off in masterful, mills&boon fashion. That's a risky thing to do and with many men in many circumstances obviously it would have been awful. You have to be pretty confident it's going to be reciprocated - and it was as I'd had a massive crush on him for weeks! OMG it was the best kiss ever.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 10/01/2020 10:21

Going on holiday with him a couple of months after we met .... both 19, Greek island .... owner of apartment had a gorgeous 3 year old girl who took a shine to my BF (now DH) and I was blown away by how lovely and patient he was with her, playing with her. I remember thing what a lovely daddy he would make .... and he is to our own two DDs.

Sad to think he would possibly be viewed with suspicion these days, playing with a little girl

puds11 · 10/01/2020 10:25

He takes my breath away. He’s literally the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen. Not sure what he sees in me!

He does a funny thing with his glasses when he’s ‘looking’ at me. Makes me giggle.

He makes me want to be a better person.

lilgreen · 10/01/2020 16:28

Ah these are lovely and the perfect reminder that fabulous men are out there, when you hear about so many shitty stories on here.

Greenpop21 · 10/01/2020 16:32

Married 24 years, 2 teens. I still steal a look at DH when he’s not looking and think phwoar. He’s literally tall, dark and handsome. I love it when he wears a chunky jumper and his jeans accidentally tuck into his chunky Chelsea boots and he looks like an accidental new romantic.

BeyondMyWits · 10/01/2020 16:38

He peers over the top of his glasses, looks at me and smiles, the smile makes his eyes go all crows-feety and he looks so genuinely pleased to see me.

Just melts my heart even after 22 years together.

I went on a date last night and we had the most electric first kiss. There was something about the way he put his hand round my waist and pulled me in a bit closer that totally gave me the fanny flutters! 😂 He has already asked for a second date and wants to go for a country walk or something, but I just want to get a hotel! 😂 (Can you tell it's been a while?!)

Alittlepotofrosie · 12/01/2020 09:02

I could say it was his sense of humour, making me laugh, his forearms when he plays guitar - all those things were and are still true.

But really the moment i realised he was the one for me - it was after we went back to his on the third date and he laid me on the sofa and proceeded to give me multiple orgasms. Id never had a man give me an orgasm before. The ex i had before him saw any foreplay simply as a means to an end. Oral was usually painful and just something to endure. I was very naive and I thought that's what it was supposed to be like. I had no idea that it was possible for a man to make me feel like now dh did!

10 years later he still got it Grin

MulticolourMophead · 26/01/2020 19:10

Sadly, I can't recall any phwoar with ex. But he was abusive, and also the only man I ever dated. Having got out (but only after a very long time) it looks like I have some catching up to do.

But I know from some crushes I've had, that soft dark brown eyes and dark hair are a reall attraction for me, so there's hope yet.

Franticbutterfly · 26/01/2020 19:31

Forearms here too...didn’t realise it was a thing!

JigsawsAreInPieces · 26/01/2020 19:46

His smile. He looks at me like I am the only girl in the world. He makes me laugh. He's my world. 💕

MrsDesireeCarthorse · 26/01/2020 19:48

His height, his eyes, his build, his legs.

He's still fit.
