In opposition to the brilliantly funny 'ick' thread, would love to know what single random thing made you drop your knickers and think phwoooaarrrrrr?

Mine with now DH was the first time we met. A group of people were playing rounders in the park and the tennis ball came flying towards us and DH just effortlessly caught it, one handed, and without missing a beat carried on chatting to me. I very nearly jumped him there and then.

Really unoriginal, soz, but his meltingly gorgeous brown eyes. And his tan which he had at the time. And his forearms. But it was ultimately his brilliant sense of humour that made me know i was safe with him and that he was a good ‘un Smile

Theroigne · 26/01/2020 19:53

Oh and the fact I could wear heels when out with him and still he’s taller than me (I’m tall).

Lightlyfebreezed · 26/01/2020 19:53

I fancy all your husbands after reading this.

BarbWCardiff · 26/01/2020 20:02

His forearms
His accent and deep voice which goes almost gutteral when he's turned on
He bought an expensive ticket to the Proms without having even met me as I told him I was going
He's a perfect dom

fluffycatpaws · 26/01/2020 20:21

Her smile. And the cleavage that showed on our first date.

willdoitinaminute · 26/01/2020 20:55

His smile ( he doesn’t smile a lot) and that when he nuzzles my neck in the certain place I melt, even after 28yrs.

NaviSprite · 26/01/2020 21:17

His big multicoloured eyes (flecks of blue, hazel, grey and bright green) and his surprisingly deep and rich voice (he’s a slim guy and I just wasn’t expecting to hear that voice come from him!).

Also his grin and oddly - his bouncy walk, which is actually a result of damaged nerves in his left leg after contracting MRSA and having Cellulitis at the same time when he was in his early twenties, but I always know it’s him walking towards me when we meet up somewhere because of the walk Smile

StarburstSurprise · 26/01/2020 21:22

Feeling the thrummmmmm of 1000cc between my legs - when he turned up on his motorbike in full leathers, I realised he wasn't all good college boy, but partly bad boy biker!Wink

Mikeymoo12 · 27/01/2020 00:14

Another one for forearms, just the right amount of dark hair and again the way he confidently changes gears in the car and nowadays when he takes me in his arms and kisses the top of my head

Apirateslifeforme · 27/01/2020 00:24

Oh I'm not sure, there were plenty of little things.

Maybe on our first date. It was raining and he offered to collect me as I didnt drive.
I got in his van and said, I need to see your driving licence so I can check you're not wanted for any murders (I was only half joking) he have me his driving licence, and thought I was funny.
I thought he could deal with me well.

Later in our date he showed me all the stuff in his van. He made me think he was really capable and the calmest person I'd ever met.
Later I realised he smelt like "home"

I was sold, weve been together just shy of 10 years.

Whathewhatnow · 27/01/2020 01:16

His beautiful smell and the fact that something happens when when touch. I think it is pure pheromones. He smells just like home, as so many others have said.
I feel totally lucky now because I've found him in later life, nudging 50. I've had partners who were most other things on paper but who didn't smell right. I realise I sound like a psycho :)

Whathewhatnow · 27/01/2020 01:16

When we..

StuckBetweenDarknessAndLight · 27/01/2020 01:40

He turned up for a night out with mutual friends and looked beaten and tired. At the end of the night I said goodbye to everyone and when I looked at him he was a different person, he'd had a good night and had a big smile and his eyes were sparkling. I got the phwoar factor right there. The next time we met he was wearing a white t-shirt with a couple of buttons which were undone and my stomach flipped. I was like WHAT!! Do I fancy him? The next time I saw him he'd grown a beard and I was like - oh yep. We've been dating for 18 months and every time I see him I get the phwoar factor. Lucky me.

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 27/01/2020 01:40

Capability in all areas

RainbowSlide · 27/01/2020 08:34

Confidence, cleverness and had a huge close knit group of lovely male and female friends. The clincher was sitting together at university in a seminar and both of us realising we fancied each other, followed by a look and a hand-hold. Thanks for bringing me back there, dh and i haven't had much rekindling recently, this might just do the trick

RainbowSlide · 27/01/2020 08:35

Oh shit and he plays guitar well and sings too. Excellent taste in music. I love a musician!

Wickedwoo · 27/01/2020 09:05

Was on a cruise every morning the captain would come on the speakers and announce where we were what time we'd dock and what level we needed to go to to disembark. He had a foreign voice and sounded like a dream. Everytime he made an announcement i had this picture in my head of what he'd look like in his suit....and without it 😂

Few days later we recieved an invitation to eat in the captain's restaurant i was so excited to finally see this sex god. Turns out he was late 60's quite large grey. I've never felt disappointment like it. His announcements made me cringe after that.

With my current partner (same sex) it was her bum. She was walking down the road a little way in front of me and she simple had the Best. Arse. Ever. I remember watching her walk and getting the urge to go up behind her and run my hands all over her. Obviously I did not as that would have made me a massive pervert who should have been arrested.

Unbeknown to me, she already had a massive crush on me. Months before she’d seen me for the first time. I’d walked up to my group of friends and smiled at them as I got to them. She says that the minute she saw my smile she fell in love (I debate this as I don’t believe in love at first at sight) and knew she had to have me.

We both sound creepy AF now but we are lovely ladies, I promise.

silencebeforethebleeps · 27/01/2020 16:42

I don't think there has ever been a phwoar factor. More of a mild tingle. We're not the phwoar-y type Blush

IhaveHagridshair · 27/01/2020 20:41

This is a beautiful thread! Thanks, OP.

First phwoar moment with DH was looking across the desk at him (we met at work) and realising he had the most gorgeous blue eyes, that crinkled at the corners when he smiled (I know most people's eyes do this, but there was something about his that was mind-blowingly sexy) and then, another time he was making tea and chatting to me in the kitchen (I may have found an excuse to follow him out there) and he turned round and delved in the fridge for something and his bum was the most perfect bum I have ever seen. I soooo want to reach out and feel it, which was a new thing for me - never looked at a bloke's with interest before then.
It's been a few years now, but his bum is still perfect * swoons *

GetMeOffThisCycleOfMisery · 27/01/2020 20:48

Brains and a brilliant sense of humor / sharp wit.

I didn't fancy my DP initially when we met from OLD, he's good looking, but not 'my type' (I like dark hair, dark eyes for one, he's dark blond and blue eyed), but his humour, kindness and intellect made me fall for him within a few weeks.

I (obviously) fancy him 100% now.😍 Over five years on and I love him more than ever.

GetMeOffThisCycleOfMisery · 27/01/2020 20:49

@Wickedwoo 😅😅😅😅

Russellbrandshair · 27/01/2020 20:50

Arms and hands. I love a man with solid bulging biceps, muscular strong forearms and big hands. Men with tiny delicate doll hands are a HUGE turn off.
