To ask what was the phwoar factor for you?

In opposition to the brilliantly funny 'ick' thread, would love to know what single random thing made you drop your knickers and think phwoooaarrrrrr?

Mine with now DH was the first time we met. A group of people were playing rounders in the park and the tennis ball came flying towards us and DH just effortlessly caught it, one handed, and without missing a beat carried on chatting to me. I very nearly jumped him there and then.

Making up dumb lyrics or poems to suit the occasion. I do it too and not everyone can - our first date he sang some nonsense about the bartender to the song playing. Scanned perfectly and was funny.

And on our 4th date some lads gave me a hard time - he was perfectly polite and chivalrous, but was so clear he wouldn't stand for it. I had already put them in their place but it was nice to see him stand up for me

Running late on our first date but never faltered on knowing which road to take and then parking a large vehicle into a tiny space with a swift reverse park perfect first time - I was sold there and then.

For me, it wasn't immediately 'phwoar' but he was so into me, and genuinely so, paid me loads of compliments and seemed to really like doing it with me (!) that I just sort of got caught along with it and I fell in love with him (and married him!). That was 17 years ago now, and there have been plenty of phwoar moments in that time, but that's because I know him so well iyswim? I think the main thing now for me is that he is a great husband and dad, and he cracks me up most days. And he does have lovely arms and a nice bum!

There were other guys before him that I would literally look at and be like 'phwoar' but they messed me around or weren't funny or whatever, and it soon wore off.

Oh, and thinking about it, the first time he held my hand and kissed me in his car on out first date - that was quite phwoar actually!

No instant “phwoar”, but he was so incredibly kind when my dog was PTS that I knew he was a good one - we were just friends at that point, but that was when I knew it would be more than that.

Forearms here too and his big green eyes. Also the fact that despite being a foot taller than me and just bigger in general he is the most gentle person I have ever met. Third date he picked me up from my home and my baby niece was crying, first time he met her and he picked her up so carefully, cradled her in his arms and sang softly to her. My ovaries started to quake and I knew he would be the father of my children.

We were flirting at work for a while but he came and met me for coffee one night. We wear scrubs for work, this occasion he was wearing a tight T shirt and omg, those arms, those broad shoulders, that bum. Also his big (capable) hands, and muscley forearms. Oh and this look he gives when his eyes just look so big and warm that it's like a hug in that one expression.

Definitely the forearms and how sexy he looks in sunglasses!

FFWD to tonight ( snoring on the sofa) he is still 6 ft, he is now a retired builder, the muscles are under a layer of padding, the hair is not so blonde and too thin to spike up, the tan has faded but the eyes are still bright blue and the smile is wicked, and he is still gorgeous and still gets it

A few days after we met, we were at this super cool London clun at a party surrounded by celerbities and he worked his way through the crowd and sang a funny song he'd made up into my ear. I was smitten. I asked him to sing it again the other day on a walk in the woods and 25 years later, it still gives me butterflies. He has a beautiful singing voice.
