Indulge me... DH and I have enjoyed ourselves today thinking of random words that could be names Grin A bit like when Uncle Fester said Dementia was a beautiful name. DH thinks Nausea could be lovely.

SummerPlace · 06/01/2020 05:52

sashh · 06/01/2020 06:19

Anorexia?

Dyslexia?

Ikea - obviously.

I do actually know of a Lenore, but maybe her brother could be Ajax?

Some Airlines could be names, Qantas, Jet-Blue, Pluina.

What are parents thinking? My friend, bless him, deceased sadly, Robin Banks. These are people that are being inflicted with these names! I have no idea what porn films you're watching, but please, stop naming your children with names that are STD;s! FFS! Even if it's a joke.

JamieVardysHavingAParty · 06/01/2020 06:26

Alanine. It's a non-essential amino acid, so nothing disgusting, but I always thought it sounded pretty.

listsandbudgets · 06/01/2020 07:08

How about Vagina?

motortroll · 06/01/2020 07:10

Costa for a boy...

Cwenthryth · 06/01/2020 07:44

Costa is a name though?

Purplealienpuke · 06/01/2020 08:30

There was a punk act way back when call Poly Styrene....

Zoidbergonthehalfshell · 06/01/2020 09:01

Cyclopia would be a pretty-sounding name for a girl, but...

sashh · 06/01/2020 09:21

Did someone mention Australia? Ute would be a fab name for boys and girls from the outback.

I have actually met a Lettuce, an elderly lady many many years ago.

Roomba? Aga?

If anyone’s having a little girl today, Epiphany would be appropriate. Fanny for short, obviously Grin

Lordfrontpaw · 06/01/2020 12:55

Um - I have worked with an Epiphany. And an Edelweiss.

grasukdesim · 06/01/2020 13:01

Amytriptaline - posh girl

grasukdesim · 06/01/2020 13:02

When I was a teen I read a book which had a boy called Talon in it. That was squarely in my teenage plans as the name of any future boy child. Fortunately I got old before DS1 and DS2 arrived. Still saddled DS1 with a deeply unfashionable name, though.
