Indulge me... DH and I have enjoyed ourselves today thinking of random words that could be names Grin A bit like when Uncle Fester said Dementia was a beautiful name. DH thinks Nausea could be lovely.

Has no one suggested Saliva?

Or the triplets Maura, Maureen and Morose.. .

TiddlestheCat · 05/01/2020 21:26

Paracetamol would also make a lovely name.

My cousin was really upset she didn't have a girl as she wanted to call her Polly-Esther!

VenusClapTrap · 05/01/2020 23:21

I think Alien is a nice sounding name

It is a bona fide name in Holland; pronounced Aleen.

VenusClapTrap · 05/01/2020 23:23

When I was pg with dd I wanted to call her Narcissa or Anemone. Fortunately the Baby Names board talked me out of it.

Ds is Gus, and people often ask what it’s short for. I like to tell them Gusset.

Herbalteahippie · 05/01/2020 23:24

Areola

pollymere · 05/01/2020 23:38

@PositiveVibez I once taught a girl whose name was Labia. It wasn't pronounced the same though.

My son (age 3) wanted to name his new baby sibling ‘Helicopter’.

Cwenthryth · 06/01/2020 00:07

Helicopter would be very cool

Periscope and Horizon have come to mind for some reason.

dentydown · 06/01/2020 00:37

Billie-Reuben Is a nice name. They check your bilirubin levels a lot in hospital. I jokingly said I was going to name my son that and the midwife had a look of horror on her face!

Legoandloldolls · 06/01/2020 00:48

I know a Banjo. Since then I have wondered if I could name a child doorknob or some other random object like Fidle, Lawnmower, or Bagpipe?

Bidet? Such a nice meaning on Google too....

UmmH · 06/01/2020 00:52

As a child I had an orthodontist called Mr. Tartar.

@MyMessyHouse I met a Syria.

I think Lucifer has a nice sound. Doesn't sound evil, unlike Beelzebub.

LittleMissV989 · 06/01/2020 03:01

@DontCallMeShitley I worked in a school where there was a little boy called Anus it was pronounced differently though like a nus. I didn't know that though when doing the register haha poor kid. There was also a lovely Indian girl in the same class called Pooja. Grin. We had quite a few laughs that year.

EmilyJ1234 · 06/01/2020 03:11

I always thought Melina would be a lovely girls name. It’s the medical word for black coloured poo...
