Indulge me... DH and I have enjoyed ourselves today thinking of random words that could be names Grin A bit like when Uncle Fester said Dementia was a beautiful name. DH thinks Nausea could be lovely.

Genatalia.

whattodo2019 · 05/01/2020 05:50

My mum was a midwife and delivered twins who were named Matilda and Myrtle. NN Tilly and Turds....

PhilCornwall1 · 05/01/2020 06:04

I guess these days it should be PC names, so you could go for Vegan short for Veganuary.

HeronLanyon · 05/01/2020 06:06

Cystitis - sissy for a nn. Double whammy.

joystir59 · 05/01/2020 06:56

Genatalia obviously spelt to avoid confusion with the much more embarrassing Genitalia

FrenchFancie · 05/01/2020 07:12

I’ve always thought Echolalia would be a great name (iirc it’s the medical term for when someone with dementia repeats things constantly). It just sounds very pretty to me!

Boredisboring · 05/01/2020 07:21

I had a colleague who wanted to name his DCs Metro and Thimble

BikeRunSki · 05/01/2020 07:46

I have always rather fancied Jesmond and Jarrow for twins.

SerenDippitty · 05/01/2020 08:51

Fennel - unisex
Aubergine
Kale for a boy
Damson for a boy

Queenoftheashes · 05/01/2020 08:57

@highupoverthere my friend really did call her daughter flora. Her name was clover. Couldn’t make it up!

BanginChoons · 05/01/2020 09:27

My kid once named a new teddy bear Cunty.. I had to make many suggestions before Grunty was approved as an alternative.

Phineyj · 05/01/2020 09:42

Boy twins Plantar and Fasciitis

Bluesheep8 · 05/01/2020 09:53

There is a character called Coriander in The Archers

Bluesheep8 · 05/01/2020 09:55

Plus someone who I knew at university named their daughters Cinnamon and Caramel apparently.

AwdBovril · 05/01/2020 10:03

Loving some of these.

Conversely, I am baffled by the popularity of the name Amelia. I know it's a traditional name, but it's also a birth defect where the baby is missing limb/s.

memberofseven · 05/01/2020 10:44

I used to live in the us and knew of someone called randy spear. His brother was dick.

WatcherintheRye · 05/01/2020 10:45

Inspired by Mia Farrow, one of whose children was called Satchel, (a name subsequently ditched by him, I believe!), you could have -

Valise
Rucksack
Holdall
Purse
Carrier

HeronLanyon · 05/01/2020 11:39

Tote. And bucking the nn trend she could be ‘totes amazeballs’ for long.

queenie6687 · 05/01/2020 11:44

I wanted to call my daughter tiara loved it so much but just couldn't 😂

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 05/01/2020 13:03

For a chef
Chiffonade and Julienne

MikeUniformMike · 05/01/2020 13:26

Carrier is a surname, so could be a trendy name.
Great if your surname is Bagg

Cwenthryth · 05/01/2020 13:38

Am having a duvet day with home renovation shows

Brick is starting to sound like a strong boys name to me at the moment.

lorettalemon · 05/01/2020 13:43

Fluoxetine for a girl, she could have a sister called Amatryptyline.
Cymalon
Cushelle
Windowlene

Pyrex, Mac, Gate, Paradox or Cable for a boy

Cwenthryth · 05/01/2020 13:43

Window would be female I think

lorettalemon · 05/01/2020 13:50

Oh and Polenta could be a nice girl's name - with inspiration from the Alpine region

I also like Bonnet(te) or Vase for a girl
Milinette for a girl (that's a variety of the pill for anyone who hasn't seen it)

Differin for a boy (that's an acne cream)

Baclofen for a boy (antibiotic cream)
