Aibu: PJs with pants underneath at night?*

I do, partner does, and so do the kids. However we didn't when we were kids, and my nieces don't when they come to stay. Was reading something on the NHS site about worms recently (prompted by the wildly inappropriate 'medicating-someone-else's-kid' post a few days ago - I mean the action was inappropriate, not the "thread") and it suggested wearing pants with PJs to combat thread-worms, implying that ppl don't normally??

Aibu in that we all do wear pants with nightwear as it's basic hygiene to me ?

*Not a pants-troll, but you'll either believe me or you won't....

Pants always. I don’t tend to wear pj trousers to bed but if I do I keep pants on. I can’t imagine wearing no pants mainly for the washing aspect. Washing pyjamas every day is incredibly wasteful imo no wonder people’s clothes wear out so much quicker these days. And it’s pretty vile not changing them with no pants.

Talking of washing, I'm trying so hard to wash less these days. Looked at one of my tops recently and realised it had warp but hardly any weft from over-washing.

I wear a big tshirt in bed with nothing on the bottom at all - I couldn't wear PJ bottoms in bed!

No pants! Its very weird to me that people wear pants under pjs!
Change pjs every 5 days ish.

What are you doing at night to get them that dirty that they have to be changed every day?

No pants. I sleep with nothing on anway, but I shower in the evening and then put on PJs and remove before bed. DD doesn't wear pants under PJs and quite often PJs are discarded at some point in the night as she gets too warm.

No idea what my kids do now (adults) but they didn't as kids. I'm not keen on nightwear full stop, just not comfortable

We never wear pants under pj's but have had to this week as Dd picked up threadworms and gave them to me! I have not been enjoying wearing pants under pj's this week, it's just not as comfortable!!! Dh and Dd both agree.

we didn't have heating at night when I grew up. so basically had to dress warmer than during the day to sleep comfortable.

What are you doing at night to get them that dirty that they have to be changed every day?

I don’t wear pjs but pj bottoms commando are in contact with nether regions ergo they’d have to be changed daily.

I don't wear them normally but obviously have to when I have my period (usually two pairs then to try to combat leaks).

I may let foofs and willies be free from now on then See how we all feel after our shower tonight. But with the tiny kids, we're making a choice/ingraining a potential habit in them.....so it is worth some thought though. After all, Night is where we spend a fair bit of our time!
